April is Bowel Cancer Awareness month and in honour of that Deborah James is launching a new campaign with the aim to raise awareness for the disease and show the public that anyone could be diagnosed. Deborah and a number of women living with cancer have been running the podcast 'You, Me and the Big C' to help encourage people to talk more openly about cancer. Early diagnosis is key to a cancer patient's survival, with almost 90% of people who are diagnosed with bowel cancer early surviving. In Deborah's case, she was diagnosed very late, although she does reveal that her cancer is currently stable.
