Samsung is taking away the 'raw power' from Note series compared to S series to make consumers feel secured that S line up wont be beaten in six months by Note. If sammy does this again with Note 8, i think ol aura of Note series will be dead.

Thanks for this SS. I upgraded from an S6 edge plus to an S7 edge and I think 5.5 inches is the sweet spot size wise.... But I'm still considering upgrading.. The S pen looks like it would come in handy but the slightly smaller battery is a concern..... Anyway....... Decisions decisions...

David Taverna Samsung has demonstrated with the Note 5 that a smaller battery could last longer. The Note 5 managed to last longer than the Note 4, so....

fast charging, battery pack, are some solutions! iris scanner is awesome... not really important when there's fingerprint. but n7 have 64gb base storage and you can adjust the resolution in n7 hence maybe more battery backup

How can a downgrade in battery size be considered an improvement?
S7 edge has best battery life in the business as of now but Note 7 will last longer than the S7 edge because of better software optimization
That what samsung say. but i think . No becouse Note 7 have bigger display others all same but Note 7 have quicker charger
software on the S7 Edge will be updated to be same as Note 7. Also, my Snapdragon variant with Superman ROM and super Kernel outlasts stock easily.

I prefer the SD version as well because it's the only variant that supports Samsung Pay, VoLTE, and most importantly WIFI calling

I own a coral blue S7 edge and I agree. Too bad there aren't any replacement screens in that specific color given that mine is cracked.

We really need to step back k for a second and all realize that as consumers these days, we basically have everything our 2010 and 2011 selves would be saying, "If only it had this or this, and this phone would be perfect.!" We have actually reached that point now. We are so spoiled by how quickly these pocket computers became what they are today that we forget "JUST" 4 years ago, we would get excited over huge a clunky HTC phones like the Rezound with a 4.3 inch screen, or maybe 4.7 inch screen with a 720 X 1280 resolution, and we thought it will never get better than this. Man, when humans put there minds to something, and are driven by competition (Apple vs Samsung), we all benefit from it. Just seriously. Look at those 2 phones in this comparison video. Unbelievable technology, and although I am a Note user myself since the Note 3, we have to thank Apple for providing that innovation that was spawned by the IPhone 4 and 64 bit Soc. Man I love Smartphones.!!! Who doesn't, ya know.? They are the defining product invention in our lives. Our generation, and generations to come. The fact that they have the same camera module doesn't necessarily mean they will give the same results. Image processing in the software could be tweaked, and since the Note7 has a new camera app, they might have fiddled with the image processing.

as an illustrator i do, i use my Note5 for sketches on-the-go but since the note7 battery issues i think ill change my scheme. Maybe i'll move to the S7 edge and i'll get an iPad pro 9.7 with the penpineappleapplepen. not sure yet.

Plus gorilla glass 5, irs scanner, usb c, 64gb starter, a small edge for better grip (so u dont accidentally press random stuff in the edge) also u can lower the display to 1080p which is actually good for just doing the basics daily to save battery. Plus all the s pen new features. Aside from all that yes its a s7 edge

I am getting S7 Edge for the follow reasons - cheaper (I buy the handset only. I dont do 2 year contracts as they are much more expensive - I do 30 Sim only deals - I am based in the UK), it is a similar size - slightly smaller, has a more powerful battery, has the same processor/camera as the Note 7, I never use my S Pen in my Note 4 (which I got in April 2015), Iris scanner means nothing to me as I dont even use my current finger print scanner etc. The choice is yours. The S7 Edge only came out worldwide in March so it is very recent. Both are great but it depends on your economic situation, what you currently have and what you will do with the phone. As long as you dont be a sheep and get an iphone. Where I work, every woman has an iphone. It is truly a girls phone. I am guy BTW.

I have steered clear of Samsung devices primarily because of updates or lack of and TouchWiz. I realise TW is essential for the added features especially the stylus, but I'm sure if they really wanted to Samsung could have implemented this differently. OK rant over.

Great video comparison. I've been using the 7Edge about two weeks ago and I love it!
In my book, ur videos are super awesome because they're concise, very informative and super-well crafted. I considered getting the Note and size was the ultimate factor with choosing the 7Edge. Yes, the S-pen was very alluring, however I'm thrilled with my 7Edge.
SuperSaf, my question to u is getting help with setting up my 7edge. There are plenty of new features when compared with my old phone, the Motorola Droid Maxx HD. I've yet to initiate the fingerprint scanner, side apps and can't see how to put widgets on my home screens. Have u created these type of tuturials or can u suggest other creators who do a good job?

Supersaf TV thanks for the vid. Two questions: If I drop the note 7 in water without the pen in it, is the phone still water-resistant? Also, with the dual pixel and F1.7 aperture, does this mean that the phone shoots good video in low-light? I keep hearing that the camera can shoot good stills in low-light, but nothing about the video capability.
