Yay! Someone who actually washes the length of their hair and leaves the shampoo on for enough time to actually clean.👍🏾Many miss this very important step.
Omg thank you for stating that you wash your scalp AND the ends of your hair too. I hate when people say I only wash the scalp and when I rinse my hair the ends get washed too. 😳😳 that’s so disgusting lol
I always look forward to your videos. I love the consistency and simplicity. No DIY, no expensive products.. just simply beautiful. Enjoy your girls they grow up quickly.
Thank you soo much💖💖. I try to keep my routine very simple and easy to follow. You really don't need to buy expensive products to grow your hair, it's all about your routine. And I agree about enjoying the girls even though they drive me crazy at times 😂😭
Thank you so much 💖💖. Sometimes I feel like it's not but I'm so happy I recorded all of those videos when my hair was shorter. I can totally see the difference.
We have the exact the same steps, I use onion juice and coconut oil for my Preshampoo treatment. I also don't do much with styling my hair, twist it and stays for a week till the next washday. My hair grows so fast in the last 2 years with this simple routine. 🥰✌️
I’m so happy I found your page. I have a similar hair texture and I’m trying to figure out a hair regimen that is simple, allows me to retain length and keep my hair moisturized. I was also happy to see a fellow Bahamian 🇧🇸 with a successful RUclips page! Congrats! You’ve definitely gained a new subscriber. Your videos are straight to the point and very informative.
I love prepooing with aloe vera gel, the slip makes it easy to finger detangle before washing. Also, I enjoy DIY deep conditioning on damp hair. Thank you ♥️
Your 2 babies in their little Bonnets, too cute!😍 I condition and deep-condition on towel-dried hair. soaking wet hair just dilutes the conditioner. I always use heat with my conditioner. a conditioning cap with a heated damp towel over it, an electric heating cap ( i just got it), or sit under the dryer. I pre-poo sometimes but I don't see much difference whether I do it or not. I always stretch my hair out with the blow dryer if I don't my scalp is screaming in pain when I style my hair. I think my fibromyalgia is why the pain gets so bad because I didn't always have this issue. I also keep styling simple but I do cornrows or braids. For the life of me, I can not do a decent 2 strain twist. I don't know what's wrong with me😩
Thank you and thanks for sharing your routine💖💖. In the beginning I couldn't twist either but with practice I got better. I'll do a detailed video on twisting.
Im going to be more consistent with my hair. I feel like it has stopped growing. I just want my healthy long hair. My hair will grow then stop, so over the next year I plan to be more consistent and continue LOC method and also start doing this prepoo treatment.
Thank you😊💖💖 and yes our hair is always growing but some people just struggle with retaining the growth. Just create a hair routine that works for your hair and be consistent with it.
Nice easy routine. Although mine is a little different I can appreciate a simple routine. I don't prepoo and only deep condition if my hair needs it. I apply my dc to wet hair. Most of the time my style is a WnG.
Prepping with oil is a game changer most definitely. I didn't see the protein free name of leave in. Dors anyone know the name of the one that she uses. Great tutorial! Peace and blessings 🙏
Love this video. Your hair is gorgeous! My wash day is a bit similiar too with the prep, cleanse, condition, and protect steps. How many years apart are the videos? I might have missed it in the video. And do you have a video on you after wash day care habits?
Thank you so much💖💖. The short hair was around 3-4 months and the other is now 1 year and 5 months to be exact. I have 2 videos on how I keep my hair moisturized throughout the week but I'm working on a week in my natural hair video. That will be up soon.
Hello, Just a few months ago I was doing a hundred steps on wash day and by the time I was done I was worn out. I started to become discouraged and I was also using all of the wrong products because I was not sure of my porosity. I am finding out a lot through trial and error. I am also realizing that my hair likes simple handling. Thanks for the very detailed video. Do you use a liquid leave in and cream plus oil, all at the same time? I do on wash day and my hair seem dry a day later after the 100 steps.
I totally understand where you're coming from. It was trial and error for me too so this didn't happen overnight. I don't use liquid leave ins, they don't moisturize my hair as much as the cream leave ins. Once I'm done with deep conditioning I follow up with my leave in cream and seal with an oil and that's it. My hair prefers creamy leave ins over liquid.
Hi Paige, what shampoo and regular conditioner are you currently using? What deep conditioner do you recommend for moisture and softness for 4c hair? Do you always use heat with your deep conditioner? Have you heard about AfroSteamCaps, can you let me know what you think about this item? Great video and Thank you for sharing.
Hey sorry for the late reply. I'm currently using products from the creme of nature brand. And yes I always use heat with my deep conditioner. I've never heard about afro steam caps. These are the products I use Moisturizing shampoo: amzn.to/31kvtqg Deep conditioner: amzn.to/3rAX0id Leave in conditioner: amzn.to/3IpqghQ.
Hi there, great video! For many, this is a simple routine that shouldn’t take long but for me me, it takes me 10 hours! It’s ridiculous! I’ve been searching for a simplistic wash day routine that won’t take me the whole day but I can’t seem to find one. I pre poo before washing, making sure I thoroughly detangle and put my hair in twists. My hair is shorter than yours so twisting does take a bit of time. Then I shampoo with the twists still in then take out the twists to deep condition. As soon as I take out the twists , my hair is tangled again and I need to detangle then twist it up again which takes more time. Then I hop out the shower then undo the twists to moisturise. Yet again , my hair is tangled again. I spend more time detangling and moisturising before I twist it up again for the week. I’m sick of this, this surely can’t be normal! Any solutions ?
Hey I totally understand. As for my hair I noticed when I wash in twists it tangles my hair even more so I started to wash in 4 sections with my hair being loose. As my hair got longer I now wash in 2 large sections. Also I wash in a downward motion which prevents my hair from tangling and I seriously take my time I don't rush through this step. You also have to remember we have curly hair and it's prone to tangles. We have to put in that extra work when it comes to taking care of our hair rather than someone with straight hair. Technique is everything. As you master your technique it becomes easier to take care of your hair.
Your hair should not be tangling like that I would go get it blown out and shaped and then the washed it will be much easier it sounds like something is happening with your hair becoming compromised don’t know what products are using or if you’re using a shampoo that’s too strong for your hair
I recently started using deep conditioner and I can see snd feel the difference. You have fast growing hair though👌. Can you recommend another good brand of olive oil. I can't find that brand in my state. Thanks
I did it when my hair was super short about 3 inches. If you feel comfortable wearing your hair in twists while it's short give it a try. If not try another style that you're comfortable with.

Hi Paige great simple tips. I have been natural for almost 3 years. I didn’t big chop but just grew it out. I do all the right things like your simple hair routine but when I comb or brush my hair there is always hair in the brush. Any suggestions?
Shedding is normal. I shed as well. If you're shedding more than usual try looking for natural ways to reduce the shedding. I see some naturals use tea rinses to reduce shedding.
I don't put a lot of tension on them. I'm always wearing twists which aren't tight at the roots so I'm able to retain length and I also keep them moisturize with my hair cream.
