The tragic part is that the cop push this guy to the point he kills himself and the dad tortures the other one when they were just broken surviving victims of the same captors😢
exactly and the cop was orphaned and abused as a boy, and the father of the girls also found HIS fathers dead body after he unalived himself. this movie is all about the cycle of violence, it's so poetic and sad, one of my favorite movies of all time
@@isabelgutierrez524 are we talking about the same movie or wtf? I've watched it like 3 times, don't know what you talking about. You threw some guts and Kakashi back story there so casually, like nothing happened.
@@emmet.0456 in the scene when Loki is questioning the priest who is a sex offender he says : "I spent 6 years in the huntington boys home father, hurting a f*ck like you would be a real treat for me." which implies he went through abuse at this orphanage. Jake Gyllenhaal later confirmed this charcter choice in interviews. A few scenes later, we see Loki on his computer investigating Keller Dover. We see, on his computer screen, that Kellers father killed himself in their old home, and Keller found his fathers body as a child. They mention his father being a prison guard as well in earlier scenes. Prisoners is my favorite movie, I've watched it many many times and know the story very well. I don't need to make up any backstory when it's all already there in the hidden details. :)
@@isabelgutierrez524 didn't remember the character names, so right away when you answered I saw the first part of the answer, read LOKI and thought you where trolling with some MCU crap, xD. But all in all it makes a lot of sense, you know more than me about it, im just glad he heared that whistling at the end it was a hell of an ending.
@@isabelgutierrez524In my theory, I think Keller killed his father. Remember when the newspaper was focused on a specific part, we were clearly shown that Keller was a teenager at that moment, Means he was capable of killing his father. Also there was no suicide note, and he was shot in his head, which I guess is enough to make us understand that Keller killed his father. Maybe his father was an abuser or something, And Keller also was shown as a person with anger issues, which he could've inherited from his father. That's what my theory is.
This is the best detective film I’ve ever seen! Everyone’s performance in this movie was outstanding!
yeah and there's no nudity or sexual content the best movie ever
this use of perfect girl is just pure perfection.
Yeah bro it’s my fav song 🎧
