    I own this model for last 2.5 years.i am not satisfied with it's performance.Its high charging current is not suitable when coupled with old tubular battery say 3 year and more.As I bought this model as a replacement for my APC 850 va Sine wave model after getting its board replaced one time within warranty and again got damaged immediately after warranty period.Hence my exide tubular battery IT 500 was 2 years old at the time I bought Zelio .From the first day itself,I realized that Zelio is not detecting the full charge cut off properly especially its repeatability.Some how it gets full charged a subsequent power outage will result the device to overcharge the battery for another one hour. Consequently the consumption of battery water increased drastically lead to battery heating and positive terminal of the battery corroded as a result of overcharge . Service centre attributed the fault to the battery .As I had a few years of experience in the field of electronics and technology technology,my common sense doesn't allow me to accept their logic as well as battery is in full working condition without any depreciation in back up or volt.It had gone through a very few discharge cycles eversince as power outages are minimal.Hence under that confidence,I replaced this Zelio with microtek sebz 1100 VA and(it has separate selector for 10 amp charging and 15 amp charging,I opted 10 amp charging for my 5 year old battery) now the new inverter is perfectly detecting the charge cut off irrelevant to the number of times power has gone.Now battery water consumption is very low,and no more heating of battery.Someone advised to change the battery type through selector switch of Zelio inverter to smf or flatplate as the charging current could be reduced to match with the requirements of older battery.But to me it is of no use.Hence I will not consider to buy any of the Schneider products in future , as due to the high brand image of APC I had purchased a 650 VA ups,850 VA Sine wave inverter and luminous Zelio 1100 within the last five years and all of them failed within or immediately after the warranty period.Relevant to tell ,the mentioned 650 VA ups too failed in the warranty period and board was replaced .After 2.5 years again the device failed and as warranty expired I abandoned the same.But really appreciating the inwarranty service quality of schneider Electric.
    Many reviewers hereitself mentioned that display is showing 5 mins to full charge whereas charging is continuing even after 5 to 9 hours and battery gets heated .This is what I elaborated in my review that is overcharging battery.And it is a defect of PCB design itself and replacement of board may not solve the issue .But newer batteries may not show any sign of fault immediately but you cannot ensure that whoever uses this model should purchase new battery too for proper functioning.

      May be it is overcharging battery as it seems auto cut off is not being properly detected after full charge.Instead of going to trickle mode it continues normal charging.

      Thank you for contacting us. Cooling Fan turns on automatically if the inverter is heated. Also, heating can happen both during backup mode and while battery charging.

    I have purchased Zelio 1100i and 150Ah luminous tubular battery. The battery always shows only 99% and never 100%. It always shows as charging and time to charge as 5 min. It is the case always. Is anything wrong with my product??? Please clarify

    My battery is Tabular so should I kept that battery selector to Tabular? It might be a dumb question, but I want to double confirm. What happens if I keep it in wrong mode?

      Yes, it has to be kept in tubular mode.
      It is important for getting proper backup and battery life.

      @@ManikantaY Bypass mode is only for the situation when your inverter stops working and you want to bypass the inverter without having to manually unplug from back of inverter/ups

    I just got lifemax 150 AH & Luminous Zelio installed yesterday. Suddenly power went off early morning. UPS is on & shows 9h59min. It didn't trip or anything. The bypass switch is also not working. I'm so confused.

      Hi, You cannot directly connect solar panels to Zelio as it is a non-solar inverter. However, you can convert Zelio into a solar inverter by using another product Shine 2420. This is a retrofit product which can help convert normal inverter into a solar inverter. This model will also support 300W panels.

    My brothet chaged the switch from normal mode to bypass mode and the inverter is running now. But I want to kNow that what is it's actual position.

      Hi Rashmikant, the position of the switch is to keep it in Normal Mode.
      By Pass mode is necessary only when there is a fault in the inverter and mains supply is to be restored. In that case, the mains supply by-passes the faulty inverter.

      UPS Mode- UPS mode to be selected when Computer or other sensitive appliances which need constant voltage between 180V-250V to run. It ensures regulated voltage input to all appliances between 180-260V. Inverter gets ON when the input voltage becomes less than ~180V.
      ECO Mode - By default, the inverter is in ECO mode to take care of wide input voltage operations between 110-290 V. Inverter gets ON when the voltage becomes less than ~100V.

      Inverter Battery performance will depend on the area in which the user is residing, please refer to the below examples for a better understanding.

      1. If you are living in an area where the input voltage often is low - 150V, therefore in UPS mode, the inverter would be switched ON as soon as voltage goes below 180V. This will not happen in the ECO mode and inverter will keep charging the battery. Therefore, in UPS mode if the input voltage becomes low, the inverter would seek power from the battery and when the power supply is restored it will charge battery often. This might lead to a 5-10% reduction in battery life.

      2. If you are residing in an area where the input voltage is normal- 220V. In that case, it makes no difference whether the inverter is in ECO/UPS mode.

      Only fully discharge and recharge your battery 3 to 4 times the problem will be solved as then the inverter will know the real battery capacity

    please my luminous zelio 900va inverter is showing a warning sign( btp) when pluged on a power suply to charge, what does it mean?

      Hi, btp indication means that the MCB behind the inverter has tripped and has turned the inverter off. This happens in order to protect the inverter and house from faults like short circuit.

      Typically a 100AH battery should provide around 2.5hours backup on 200watt load. UPS rating can be decided depending on the load you want to connect on it.

      ANURAG Indla Actually , in our locality the voltage vary rapidly.
      At evening it's less than 100 volts.
      But this inverter require minimum of 110V to charge otherwise the output draws from the battery.
      So, the question arises...?

    I brought Zelio 1100 and 130AH SF Sonic flat plate battery(Power box model)a month ago. From the first use about 3 hours the top metal casing of the inverter is getting hot like a frying pan. In normal battery fully charged mode the fan is not at all working(fan working well in charging/inverter mode). There is no problem in backup load back up time and working fine. The only problem is Heating. Also the inverter consumes more power bcoz its is heating.. Plz help....

    I installed it on 29 Oct 2019 after 6 months its got defective. Service under warranty registered but he visited after 20 days. He is not possessing with proper tools and spares. He direct current for charging and said no need of fuze. After 3 months its also got defective service request register on 26 Jul still not comes. Very bad experience.

      My Luminous India Firstly your customer care people never install, when called they are telling my local electrician to install as it would cost me 300 rupees extra, even after me willing to pay the same, they never were willing to come. Also they gave less cost trolley and charged more, when asked for refund they circle like from dealer to customer care. Also the inverter says five minutes to charge and it keeps charging on and on and on for almost a hour. That's why I commented the readings are inaccurate. Worse customer service ever I had. This is not fair when a dealer calls and say us "why you bought online". Then why you people have a website running when your dealers take customers for fool. The best part was delivery on the bike, first delivery was for trolley and battery and again one more trip for inverter. Seriously kidding in the cost reduction scheme. Hope 🙏 you can take all these into considerations rather than commenting back and forth and refund extra money. Thanks again for the worse customer service.

    I have paid for Inverter and Battery combo pack on the 23rd of April and till date the order has not been processed yet. My order number is - 100007289.
    I have made numerous phone calls to Sales and Customer care numbers and nobody can give me a solution. I would like to escalate this complaint to the highest level and would like to hear from someone who can offer a solution and not just empty words "we are sorry for inconvenience, someone will get in contact with you shortly".
    Must I take this issue to consumer court and fight for my rights?

    guys why does my 60-70 Watt ceiling fan runs slower on this
    luminous zelio 1100va inverter + luminous Tez 150 AH battery ? because other things like TV, computer etc runs fine. I thought it was Pure sine inverter but it sure isn't working like one :/

      Be assured that the Zelio 1100 provides pure sine wave power during backup mode. Zelio 1100 has inbuilt protection and backup extension feature to keep voltage below 220V during battery backup mode. This is safe voltage level for all appliances as appliances are designed for 220V and this also extends backup time. In case, your house is getting grid electricity at 230V or higher, you may notice slight decrease in the fan speed when grid power is down and inverter switches to battery backup mode. However, in case you are noticing very significant difference in fan speed every time, please contact our customer care here .

    Worst service from Luminous. I have raised compliant within warranty as inverter is not working, but local service people have closed it, now they are charging claiming out of service. I am talking about Hyderabad service center. Worst part is call center people are asking me to take permission from local service center to reopen my compliant which is in warranty. So petty of Luminous.

    2 saal b nhi chala fenk dia.. leds mai filkering ka issue..low battery backup ..aur usse se b gatiya battery. aur almunium coil use k hai..yeh kon mention kary gh .. showing battery status wrong full line se direct low battery aur mera load 50watt tha total ..be genuine and transparent..baad mai pta chala market mai puch k sab se gatiya model hai yeh.
