I think Mark was trying to teach them a lesson. He went about it the wrong way. Telling them to cater to your possible investors is one thing, trowing a tantrum about his sports team is another.
They put the Warriors AND the Heat on his desk, two teams who made Mark suffer some of the worst and painful losses in Mav's history, and then said it "smelled like winning". C'mon that's pretty stupid of them. There are just no positives from that. The odds Mark would be like "haha real funny guys, I’ll make you an offer!" and connect are extremely low...so why do it? Did Mark overreact? Yes, he did. But let's not forget that a team is a business and these sharks dedicate their lives to their businesses. It was a dumb move. If you owned a small business and had an important meeting with Coca-Cola executives, would you give them a Pepsi and them them that it smells better than Coca-Cola? This is an important business lesson. Pitching to the sharks is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would spend all my time thinking about how I could impress the sharks. @@Thinking858He kinda did overreact, but he was right, it's a dumb marketing move to promote a personal favorite team opposite to the one you're pitching to

No. That's not a joke. That was insulting, especially to a potential investor. Know your audience. Mark Cuban is the owner of the Mavericks. And the Warriors are one of the Mavs conference rivals. That was disrespectful at its best.

My father worked 26 hours a day, 8 days a week in the asbestos mines to earn 30 cents which he spent on gruel and tiny bits of string: our only entertainment. And worst of all, we had air fresheners in our car when we drove to Florida. So I'm out." -Robert
Mark was taking it personal. But he has a point. If you’re going to sell to an Owner than that owners logo should be on the item to show them exactly what they would be getting
Mark wasn’t wrong - they should have used the mavericks logo or honestly any other team. The fact they picked the team that knocked his team out was wrong move of their part. Anyhow they are on to something for sure
The gsw fragrance is not what offended Mark, but that "sorry Mark" comment one of them thrown out, out of nowhere. Noticed that after that, other sharks were into Mark. It's humiliting when the whole room is making fun out of you. And really, there's no reason for that comment/joke anyway.
Myself and many people I know react to these things. They often have garbage chemicals that even if you aren't sensitive can cause health problems for you down the road. When they said their cost I wasn't surprised.
I was honestly thinking, no way Mark actually got offended over the NBA team choices. stop being a child, they thought it would be funny.... and it was!!
while I do think mark overreacted a bit, his general message is correct - don't give an investor a reason to go out before you've given them good reason to invest. saying it's built for winners and immediately following it up with "sorry mark" and then letting the warriors one end up with him after saying that is pretty careless on their part.
Mark was right for that, they learned a good lesson how not to approach people like them. Although he could’ve handled it better but the reasoning was right, pretty disrespectful especially when you’re there asking for his money.
Mark is right though, whether it’s petty of him or not why would you go in there and display the team that just knocked him out rather than the Mavs. It’s stupid and eliminates the richest shark right from the jump
Mark! Every good businessman knows that you don’t make a decision based on your emotions or (in this case) your ego! Mark Cuban missed out on a great opportunity with this business!
They make a penny to his dollar (not even that). I don't think he regrets it. It is an air freshener and they were trying to be funny - not smart when asking for money. If I saw that careless move I wouldn't invest.

are u delusional?
I think mark would have felt much better if he could have sucked his thumb.
*Everyone smiling and laughing
Mark: U gotta read the room 👺
Cuban didn’t need to flex.
The better man always takes the high road.
Water off a ducks back.

I am happy Barbara gave them a deal. Lori’s comment that the product is “male skewed” doesn’t mean that it’s not a good and worthwhile product.
Lori's comment did make sense though. Women love fragrances. If you can make it appeal to them then that's a whole other market.
@@AnthonyMcNeil agreed. That’s why I am happy Barbara came in. Lori could have helped them. Instead she chose to go out on the basis of it being currently male skewed. She could have added the balance.
She was just on Mark's side just because he's bitter but its still cringey because Mark's a male
LOL. What is so good about it? They took an existing product, made it look less appealing while claiming it was more appealing...and their biggest selling point is that their product is unique because they have a subscription feature?! Do you all not use your brains?? It take two seconds for anyone to add a subscription model to their products. There's nothing unique or special about it. Plus, now that they've been on Shark Tank and everyone has seen it, there will be plenty of copycats.
Lori says all the time that she likes products with mass appeal so her going out falls in line with her normal business decisions
The warriors living rent free I see 😂
The man’s still haunted by that Wiggins poster on Luka fr
Gave a sigh of relief when they apologised to mark at the last second
Mee too
They clearly understood they screwed up. It was uncalled for and embarrassinh especially on National TV
@@Thinking858no it wasn’t it was a little sports joke mark was wrong
@@Thinking858are you dumb?
Yep! That was what we all secretly waiting for! Glad they did it!
I think Mark was trying to teach them a lesson. He went about it the wrong way. Telling them to cater to your possible investors is one thing, trowing a tantrum about his sports team is another.
Barbara: "Mark has rage quit the pitch and all of the other sharks seem to be uninterested, so for those reasons, I'm in"
that is the most petty thing mark has ever done
They put the Warriors AND the Heat on his desk, two teams who made Mark suffer some of the worst and painful losses in Mav's history, and then said it "smelled like winning". C'mon that's pretty stupid of them. There are just no positives from that. The odds Mark would be like "haha real funny guys, I’ll make you an offer!" and connect are extremely low...so why do it?
It's like pitching Bezos and joking about his divorce or Elon Musk about how bad Twitter is doing. What are the odds of that helping your pitch?
Someone who thinks like that has poor judgement. That's why Mark was out.
Exactly this. I'm not the one to worship someone because he is a billionaire but these men were beyond ridiculous. Mark was entirely on the right here.
It's not an excuse to have such an outburst.
@@QUICKUPS123 it’s a TV show. The theatrics are encouraged. Good for you if you would have handled it differently.
Ngl bro could’ve done a better job by cooking their pitch and worth
Wow it’s so cringe to see Mark expose his true colors. What a bitter man
Dude hes a good man and a good investor, everyone has bad days and he was probably just having one and this was the straw that broke the back
Try establishing a business from scratch,,, and someone tell you your business are loosers on national TV...
@@chotabila1761 okay lack of professionalism then. Doesn’t give you the right to tell people how bad their business is. That why Kevin and Robert have always been my favorite 🦈
@@humbertomartinez5899lol Robert 😂😂
@@humbertomartinez5899 I like Robert, but he's gotten salty probably more than any other shark on this show lol. If he makes an offer and the entrepreneurs want to hear other ones, he bows out because they disregard him. Kevin's the only one that can take a joke/ keep a level head
It wasn't only the entrepreneurs that ignored marks tantrum. But so did the cameraman. Look at them, not even point the camera at Mark for most of the pitch
I think they have cameras on everyone throughout. What you’re referring to is the editors not including him in the final cut.
People have to understand that when you run a team, you are their spiritual leader in a sense. And you must support them all the way, in every way. You can't snub them like that. People say that he's having a tantrum I say he has integrity for being upset on behalf of his team.
bro hes literally out bc of a joke
this isnt politics its basketball teams
you cant just be out because of a simple joke
@@LunarRumour oh yes you can
@@DicerX then i can make a joke like that
@@LunarRumour and I'll take you out because of it. You see. It's an exercise in free will, and consequences.
I wouldn't even consider making a joke about their businesses.
No he didn't over react... In fact he behave rather cool calm...
@@Thinking858He kinda did overreact, but he was right, it's a dumb marketing move to promote a personal favorite team opposite to the one you're pitching to
I agree
It was a miscalculation on their part, I'm sure they thought he would find it funny, but they don't realise how much this guy loves the mavericks. He lives and breathes basketball.
@@danielgeronimo5538 nah he didnt. calmest response to disrespect on national tv that ive seen
Mark should learn to take a joke😂
You don't get to say that to a potential investor when you're the one pitching a deal. You need to be more respectful!
No. That's not a joke. That was insulting, especially to a potential investor. Know your audience. Mark Cuban is the owner of the Mavericks. And the Warriors are one of the Mavs conference rivals. That was disrespectful at its best.
@oliverdeeley I agree that it was wrong joke at wrong time but I thought he would not take it that personally.
@@soulikarus bruh stop. This is why I like Kevin. He can take a joke without being so salty for no reason

Where's the love for Lori breaking the ice after Barbara's vocal disbelief by Mark's tantrum? Thank you, Lori, for saving Mark's butt professionally with jumping to their strong scents. 😂❤
“You’ve gotta read the room”! Then they ask why he asked out so fast😂😭💀
mark’s attitude is proof that you can’t buy yourself out of being a cornball
2:15 Must have been right before lunch. Mark is definitely the hangry type. No "You can counter." or "Congrats guys!" We all have a sore spot.
This makes sense for the value. I tend to buy a few at the dollar store and work through them for months but I could see this making sense.
Mark’s ultra competitive, he probably was still salty about the final
Mark usually has a good attitude. It has to be something else going on, bc that was so dramatic lol
So it’s just an air freshener???😂😂😂
it’s a great product a lot of people love their cars
How many cleaning products do you see?

@@J.J.Redick nah people who care about their cars dont go for these cheap stuff
Respect to Barbra who tried to offer Mark some motherly advice, when she said "you're a bigger man than that, cut it out". Then Lorie comes in and saves the room, neutralising the tension. Well done ladies!
"Ya I could be, but I'm not" Lmao
1:54 is when it all happened guys.
If anyone knows anything about mark it’s that he was crushed when they lost, he’s incredibly competitive. Maybe a little immature of him but you play stupid games sometimes you win stupid prizes lol
"I was born poor in Croatia. I came to the shores of North America by sleeping on the coal bin of a steam ship which sank halfway across the Atlantic and I had to swim the rest of the way. I was so poor the holes in my clothes had holes in them. The only pet I had growing up was a pet rock, which we were forced to boil and eat one winter. My father worked 26 hours a day, 8 days a week in the asbestos mines to earn 30 cents which he spent on gruel and tiny bits of string: our only entertainment. And worst of all, we had air fresheners in our car when we drove to Florida. So I'm out."

Mark showed his true colors. Barbara and Kevin have always seemed the most down to earth, for millionaires at least
it’s definitely Lori
I mean you can’t blame him for taking his team serious but he shouldn’t let it spill into his other ventures
@@vegapreferred9344lol no need to be such a snowflake at a joke his too grown for that
true colors? a one time thing yall call it
Mark was taking it personal.
They were smart, that cry baby would have cried, "Trade mark infringement."
Clean your mouth off it’s embarrassing
I get Mark. Don't come pitching him with a Lakers product. And don't insult him about losing.
Mark did good not letting them insult him they new what they were doing
Kevin gets clowned every episode and laughs it off. Mark can’t handle one joke?
The gsw fragrance is not what offended Mark, but that "sorry Mark" comment one of them thrown out, out of nowhere. Noticed that after that, other sharks were into Mark. It's humiliting when the whole room is making fun out of you.
And really, there's no reason for that comment/joke anyway.
The “Sorry Mark” was unnecessary and deliberate
I’m not sure what kind of reaction they were expecting tbh
Enjoy your lunch
It’s Saturday. I only just finished breakfast.
How did you know 🤯
I don't think Mark ever wanted it, but took the opportunity to make good television.
Myself and many people I know react to these things. They often have garbage chemicals that even if you aren't sensitive can cause health problems for you down the road. When they said their cost I wasn't surprised.
The air freshener brothers are nice guys, I hope they’re successful.
I agree with Mark. You don't come in the tank and disrespect the owner of the Mavs by giving him a Warriors freshener. So dumb.
fr
I was honestly thinking, no way Mark actually got offended over the NBA team choices. stop being a child, they thought it would be funny.... and it was!!
while I do think mark overreacted a bit, his general message is correct - don't give an investor a reason to go out before you've given them good reason to invest. saying it's built for winners and immediately following it up with "sorry mark" and then letting the warriors one end up with him after saying that is pretty careless on their part.
He didn't have to flex on them though. He knew HE was the person they were targeting. He overreacted.
LOL it was a super simple and good-natured joke, if Mr. Cuban can't take a single joke then he needs to grow up 🤣
Mark was right for that, they learned a good lesson how not to approach people like them. Although he could’ve handled it better but the reasoning was right, pretty disrespectful especially when you’re there asking for his money.
Agreed.
If anyone knows anyone that graduated from Howard, is not surprised. Let’s put it that way. 😕
Mark was so salty 😂
I like how they didn’t show Mark after he overreacted for the rest of the pitch lol
everyone hates on kevin. But he's the only one who can handle jokes being hit on him from sharks and entrepreneurs at the same time and still focus on the business instead of taking it personally
Robert finds some of the most creative ways to go out. 😂
I think Mark would’ve been the best Shark for them but it’s okay. They got Barb… She’s usually out.
just shows that even with all the money and an NBA team how insecure little mark from Cuba really is.
Mark = Sensitive and a bully, Mr Wonderful = Money first, always MOB (Money over B...), Barbara = Only if she likes you, Lori = Must relate to the product, Robert = Petty and relatable, Daymond = Balanced.
Mark at the end: "It's all good baby" lol
Love the way these guys talk. Great communicators
I've worked for car washes and detailed for 30 years now and it looks no different and I'm sure it smells no different than any other brands of air fresheners. 😂
nothing innovative about it at all
yet they got a deal and are millionaires...what about you?
