  • This is my first attempt at a magnetohydrodynamic propulsion system made with common household supplies. The drive system in principle uses electric current and magnetic fields to force water in a certain direction. The drive consist of no moving parts but it is not very powerful of efficient. Unfortunately my prototype is not very powerful but I will be making a second version that is more powerful and efficient soon. Please comment! Thanks

You should try to figure out a way of wrapping the plastic tube in a metal tube, then wrap the metal tube with your copper. Now you would have an electromagnetic hollow core, but still have an electro magnet. Also because it's a hollow electromagnet core, you can increase the maximum amount of turns substantially, and you could power your plates from the inside of the thrust tube, eliminating any possible contact with the electromagnet.

I'm pretty sure it's not electrolisis.. some may be occurring but the propulsion is caused by via magnetic force cased by the flux of the coils the water flows through that capacitor making them feel the force of the flux of the coils via their electrons

Nice Job, maybe try a square plastic tube,, Put that tube in a toaster oven on very low heat, in less than a minute, it'll be soft enough to mold it square..

can you use a wraparound from the magnetic field north and south with a soft iron plates or iron to complete magnetic circuit this will create a much more powerful magnetic B density.

Very interesting your experiment. Congratulations is the way to do real science, experimenting. I realized that you are also producing hydrogen and oxygen. The liquid that looks like water has some electrolyte, right? You are trying a new type of propulsion? How about using a pendulum where you can control your movements.

Why not use coil of wire instead of those aluminum plates. You are trying to create moving charges passing at right angle to your electric field, right?

you should use magnet on top and below use real metal up the vote to 1000. vote and you see a real levitation you need to put all in to a metal box if you put a spin magnetic ring or disc spin it at 5 000. RPM anti clock wise try this and you will have real anti gravity levitation a flying electric field gravity levitation if you build is try putting on to a flat 3 ft x 3 ft with a seat on it and build it into under the plate form you will have real flying chair

Long way to go with any real use for so primitive design. Good luck - you need a lot of it. Electrodes designed wrong, electromagnets set wrong, no additional self supply energy unit makes this design extremely power hungry. Material used shows lack of experience.
