Steve - We miss You already. I have enjoyed watching your videos over the years while I was building my 51 Chevy. If your son is reading this...Go with a single Borla muffler. I love the sound of mine. not too loud until you get on it. 2 in 2 out. Finish that truck of your dads! That's what he would want you to do! All the Best.- Jim
Sorry to hear about your cancer. I Enjoy your videos and they are very helpful. I'm working on a 49 and everything your doing is very similar to my build. Awhile back you asking for input for air intake. Ironworks Speed and Kustom did a 48 truck a few years ago that had the intake going through the inner fender. They did an exception job of it. There use to be a lot of pictures of the build online, but I'm unable to find the build pictures. You can find some of the finished truck though, that you might get an idea from. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have really enjoyed watching your progress on your 53. It is really looking good ! Cannot wait to see it finished and I just wanted to tell you that y'all will be in our prayers for a speedy recovery. 365 times Jesus tells us to fear not , once for everyday of the year. Since he is the Great Physician he knows , so we look forward to seeing you healed and back in your shop. Merry Christmas from Little Rock ! Dwight Stark -- I went with Borlas !
Praying for a full recovery for you. Stay positive & know that we are all here praying for you & will be here when you hit the shop again. God Bless You. Rick
Hello Sir, just found your channel while looking for steering column installation help. The post regarding your throat cancer showed up and I just wanted to wish you good luck. I really like how you present your info and look forward to watching all your posts. Again good luck. Best regards John Nikula Santa Rosa Ca.
Your in my prayers sir. I can't tell you how much I enjoy your work and how much I've learned from you! GOD BLESS and watch over you. Robert Mason El paso, TX
Wishing you a speedy recovery, love your videos. You do great work and have given me many ideas for my 50 chevy project. Look forward to your next video.
Very sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I'm pretty sure I speak for many when I say we have all missed your videos. Prayers for a quick recovery for you!!
“God” , please heal my friend Steve from cancer. Be with the doctors and nurses as they take care of him and treat him. I believe you are the Great Physician and all power is in your hands. May your will be done. In Jesus name I pray , Amen!!!
Hey just touching base . Believing for a speedy recovery. I too got the big C word dropped on me a few months ago at age 52. They are words you never want to hear. Just have to leave it in Gods hands and trust for the right help to come your way. Cheers brother!
Hi Steven, I went checking on your channel because I have not seen any posts, I am happy you are on the road to recovery, praise God for that, on one of my latest videos I did a Ventilator ( not related to Covid lol) and you are on it, will be waiting for another video on the 53 from you, talk to you later friend
Steven, you are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm wishing you a full and speedy recovery. I'm working on a '51-5 window/5.3L-'06 Silverado and matching trans and can honestly say that I've watched every one of your videos a minimum of 2 to 3 times. I fully appreciate what you are doing and your patience and attention to detail. You truly do awesome work. Looking forward to your next video.
Our family is praying for you. We wish you well. You and I will both get back to the trucks soon. My 51 3100, I just got done with the exhaust. I will send you pictures. Take care buddy.
Wishing you the very best. I lost my baby sister to the big C...I am a big supporter of the "F Cancer" movement! As far as mufflers go, I loved the sound of Flowmaster "Big Blocks" on a suburban with an LS that I had. I had MagnaFlow system on a Dodge Quad Cab. I liked the sound but the system resonated at 70mph (optimal cruising speed for most of the USA)
Hey Stephen. Wow Brother, that's tough. You will be in my prayers for sure. Prayers are very powerful. They helped my wife twice in the last 1 1/2 years when she was very close to death. As far as your truck, I put twin red Glass Packs on my 45 Fargo. They sound just right when driving with a volume level that tells everyone that someone is coming. You take car of yourself Stephen and I will see you very soon in your videos. GOD BLESS YOU. Thanks for sharing. 🍁👍👍
Hey, been recommended to take a look by one of my subscribers. This is the first video I'm watching. Hope you're treatment takes and the recovery is swift. Looking forward to seeing more videos. I'm building a 51 GMC. Interesting on the exhaust. I'm undecided as yet what way to go. Like you I want a nice sound but not needing hearing protection.
Don't go magnaflo...Flowmaster is my choice but that's because borla systems are pretty big money. Flowmaster sounds great and aren't all raspy or restrictive
Just checking on you and hoping things are going well. Wishing you and the family happy holidays. Let's hope the new year is great for all of us. God Bless!
Oh my lord... we will be praying for you! I am glad your surgery went well. Magnaflows are expensive glass packs. They drone so badly. The flowmaster 40 series with full length tailpipes sound decent. I personally like the turbo style mufflers, but they are a little restrictive.
Our prayers are with you. Thanks for letting us know about your medical condition. We have missed you and can't wait for you to feel well enough to get back to your '53>
Steve, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. I"ve wondered what happened to your videos. Please be well and get back to building. I have been going through something less myself. I have had debilitating pain in my leg. Finally was diagnosed as pinched nerves in my spine. Had surgery and am well on my way to recovery. Unfortunately my 37 has had to sit this out. I too am thinking about the sound from my truck and Borla is at the top of my list. Don't want obnoxious but do want a little rumble.
Bummer that is happening, I have had cancer myself of a different type. From what I can see from you videos you and your family is strong! You will get thru this! Absolute strangers are pulling for you. Hope to see you back soon. Brent
Thoughts and prayers going your way Steve. I installed dual Magna Flo's on my '51 Chevy Fleetline and was very happy with the sound and performance. I did run them out the back just short of the tail pan because I did not want to hear any rumbling from the front windows or create unnecessary noise while talking
Sorry to hear about your health and so glad it's been diagnosed early enough to start treatments. And no need to apologize to us out here. Take care and all the best in your fight. Cheers
When you were installing your brake pedal, you had a four hole plate on the front that you spot welded in. I'm wondering where that came from. I'm gonna do the same thing to my 52 but I called Performance on line and they didn't stock it.
Thanks for the question Owen when I ordered the brake pedal kit from CCP it came with a plate that was two pieces, designed for one piece to be on one side of the raised rib and the other piece on the lower side of the raised rib. I didn’t like that design so I transferred for those measurements to a piece of flat steel 3/16 thick and just made my own plate it was really easy to do then what I did was cut out the raised rib where the plate went and filled it in with some 16 gauge sheet metal that way I have a nice flat surface for the new plate to fit. Are use the brake pedal bracket defined the center of the booster rod hole and use the whole saw to cut that that way I could locate the new plate from the engine compartment rather than underneath the dash
So sorry to hear this news. If you would like to have conversation with someone who has gone through head and neck radiation PLEASE contact me. I am willing to share exactly what you will experience.
