This video is like 4 years old but just wanted to throw my two cents out there. In the retail demo kiosk, there is a big "reset" button that is accessible on the Wii U gamepad mount. This button then plugs into the "S - SW" plug on the daughter board you pulled out that is connected "between" the front facing power button on the demo console. My understanding is that this button essentially cuts the power temporarily and powers the system back on, causing it to reset. This is likely why it has to connect to the special board in between the power button and the rest of the console. This is because the Wii U has no actual "reset" button that the SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii had.
Did you ever find out what were those etra cables on the board?... my guess is that its a power source for an ssd HDD that some of those units have installed and that got connected through the front USB ports....
Swampert Tube yes. You can sink the kiosk gamepad & controllers to a regular console and regular gamepad/controllers to demo console. Tested this myself
@@Socalii89 how? Can you make a video? When I press the sync button on the kiosk console it wont show up with the passcode thing for the gamepad to connect.
Swampert Tube oh sorry, so what you need to do is: - pair wii motes by hitting the sync bottons on both system and controller - turn off the console - insert an sd card - turn on console, this will bring up the kiosk menu - scroll, with the wii mote to “pair gamepad” this will bring up the pairing symbols. - in order to get out of the menu you need to remove the sd card.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
The s-sw is the gamepads power cable
Would it be possible to have a stock gamepad connect to one? I have a kiosk unit but no kiosk gamepad. Just checking.
