The charge in sodium will be +ve since it's electronic configuration is 2.8.1 and it will donate it's one electron to attain the configuration of nearest noble gas i, e helium .So it will gain +ve charge .

why do people have a problem with having an accent. he's probably from the south or someplace else where english is more prominently spoken and thus the accent. why do you have to make such a big deal out of it. don't you have better things to do?
