      the one I try to get to the point in my videos. Some guys put 15 minutes of vlogging before the even start on something. I think that’s pointless.

    Nice man I'm definitely going to do this mod it will help the GDI engine with carbon build up every precaution matters. Plugs oil clean air PVC valve catch can will help make your engine last.

    Mine is about 16 inches away from the intake and I used the OEM hose, just bought 1 hose for the PCV to inlet. I didn’t disconnect the one to the manifold because it looked out of reach.

      Aguyfromdubjay you can always make it work. 😁

    • @ljz1988
      @ljz1988 7 лет назад +1

      Aguyfromdubjay I installed an L bracket under the passenger side of the strut bar, on top of the bolt pinning down the ground ribbon cable. If you do this, be sure to sit it as snug as possible, or you get loud rattling between your strut bar and the metal of the can.

    put on a provent 200 catch can , they are filted to one micron and have pressure re-leaf values on them,there the best.

  • @awhite071906

    wouldnt you want the catch can inlet lower the the hose coming off the engine so gravity will assist in puling the oil to the can? Otherwise wont it just run back into the engine?

    installed same way,,,except added a check valve in line going into intake...approx 700 miles later emptied 4ounces of tan fuel soaked oil outta catch can...?wth? is this normal?please help.

  • @jeffreydale1466
    @jeffreydale1466 8 лет назад

    Nice DIY! Just curious to see if you've read anything about removing the line going from the valve cover to the intake? I've read on the forums that it's a good idea to remove it, put a breather filter on it and tuck it under the engine. Or use another OCC.

    • @TheDustyaman
      @TheDustyaman  8 лет назад +1

      Jeffrey Dale This oil catch can i used on the other line. And it didnt pick up any oil at all. So i stuck it on this one where alot of people say they catch alot of oil. Thank you for the compliment also. Much appreciated.

    Dustyaman, I installed my catch following this as the guide. Same parts, 3/8 fuel line, plastic 3/8 to 3/8 vaccum connector, fed under the cover. Do you notice an extra ticking noise coming from the vaccum connector you installed for the out line?

      +Michael Charles - Use the same size as your Car / Trucks. Don't go under 1/2" if you are running long hose..... Also, LESS / SHORT hoses... The better!!!

    Why not just vent to atmosphere? Catch Cans don’t do as good a job as they say tbh

  • @nathanamons2187
    @nathanamons2187 7 лет назад +2

    Unfortunately the ADD W1 are really terrible catch cans. They don't have any sort of proper baffling, and won't filter too much. You could use stainless steel mesh, but that wouldn't be as good as the other options.

    • @retroklassic4247
      @retroklassic4247 7 лет назад

      Nathan Amons I have had no issues with mine.

    • @nathanamons2187
      @nathanamons2187 7 лет назад

      Lazaro Roman What do you qualify as issues? Lol. No baffling, high condensation content, no seals. Bad can.

    • @retroklassic4247
      @retroklassic4247 7 лет назад

      Nathan Amons my catch can baffle just fine it does the job it's suppose to do. idk what your expecting!

    • @nathanamons2187
      @nathanamons2187 7 лет назад

      Lazaro Roman In testing the W2 allows more oil through than other cans. Just because it's doing something doesn't mean it's doing everything it should.

    lol i got the same car, color, and catch can. Do you have a tune yet? I got a the 91 octane tune from btr and it really wakes it up. Also i put my occ under the cai where the stock airbox was to save all the tubing.

      Ah ok. I'm trying to decide the best tuner for the dct. I've heard nightmare stories about tork tuning

    • @blakekrocks
      @blakekrocks 7 лет назад +1

      TheDustyaman tork has blown up like 23 motors so far. idk if you live near Illinois but i would recommend btr for a custom tune in there shop or ordering a seperate ecu. when i ordered mine it was an 8 week nightmare. I gave them my ecu to work on as a comparison because the one they sent me wouldnt start the car. when they finally sent it back they just tuned my ecu and not the stealthy replacement. which honestly is fucking bullshit. but the tune is not a bad deal. If there is a place near you that tunes hyundais though i would just tune there. Oh and are you getting an odd idle with the can?

    • @TheDustyaman
      @TheDustyaman  7 лет назад

      blakekrocks yeah in the mornings I get a pretty nasty idle. But it doesn't do it on every start up. So was that tork that took 8 weeks or btr?
