Forbes you really drop the ball on this one, my mother is not rich nor do I have rich friends. They gave no advice other than this is hard and they had to adapt. What’s New to that 🤔🤔

Should be renamed “how to ask your parents for money”

I don't think I have a dozen friends or family that could come together to write a $300k check, let alone just two. 😂

Don't be hopeless. Being rich isn't most important task in your life. You can be happy without money. don't prioritize or success money in your life. I used to think like you when I was young. But now I understand that happiness depends person's thoughts.

I do not want to take away anything from all those companies, they have achieved success in their field especially for women founders, and kudos to that but if you look carefully at their background most have an ivy league background or come from a strong network background, the fundamental problem is the same. If you have no access to a strong network with money you completely lost.

Back-handed comments. "Industry not big enough, small market, unsatisfactory pricing possibilities.."
Those sound like standard VC concerns, that you´d ideally adress in your presentation

I'm not female, but I think women should be given the same opportunities as men, and not be under-represented as founders,

Skill should be represented, not gender

Isaiah 5 20-21 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Ephesians 2 8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 2:21 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
    Call on JESUS!!
    ONLY JESUS SAVES!

No honey, no one cares if you're a woman. The main question is can you make money. No one cares about ethnicity or gender.

I hate it when women talk about push backs - as if like we men we don't encounter them. Building a business is hard whether you are a man or women

Trisha, probably the most embarrassing one out there. Doesn't seem like she can pull off well, unless she receives a lot of help.
sorry, is the bar set this low ? I personally know at least 5 female entrepreneurs, who got funding/consideration more effortlessly, without having a solid plan. This clearly indicates how the system is not rigged against women, actually the opposite as more women are encouraged and companies have their ESGR aligned to pander to these things, all you need is a disruptive idea to show for. Not to mention, all of them were minorities, who worked really hard as I was a witness.
This woman needs to change her attitude, and get a reality check because the E-commerce and online Fashion sector, is not that disruptive, and people shouldn't be going head over heels for her, based on the fact that its the best idea SHE could ever come up with. Put her in the dark room, and if I heard her speak, she would come off to me like a spoilt rich white woman, than a minority, and the business model isn't that scalable.
Look at her Niche, its a HUGE HUGE surprise to me that she was able to raise, the amount they did. I am still in shock, because if I was one of the Partners at a VC firm, I would only allocate half of the amount, for operations. The amount they raised, were too generous, and would be fit for a 24 month runaway.
BTW, Her Co-founder, Zhou, is the actual MVP there. She could be useful elsewhere, and why have you guys not bought her in instead of this pathetic narcissist ?

If Trisha thinks investors are overly judgmental wait till she brings her product to market…..

    • @MyAkachi
      @MyAkachi 2 года назад

That's completely different. In your scenario, customers would be judging the product. Here, her competency as a human being is being questioned based on prejudice/ignorance.
