Obviously there are limitations to our potential growth, but to give you a more relative example, my dad couldn't visually follow Xion. But after about 15 minutes, he could track her too. Yozora was so fast i could barely keep up at first....but then, once i became focused, it was like fighting any other boss....and all the other bosses seemed ridiculously slow. I can personally see every frame in this video and could've reacted in-game (Of course in kingdom hearts the guards are automatic against successsive blows anyways), and there are plenty of games that make this look easy, but i could've "just guarded" that flurry as if playing Sekiro at this point reaction wise. Back to the main point, Honeslty, the joke itself is ironic, because it's funny to think about how much the characters were holding back, some of which was implied by Sora in KH2 while watching Cloud and Sephiroth fight. It's a joke to be honest, although it won't be funny to all.

KH3 lacked awesome action sequences like this. And sound effects. The whole deep surround sound wind ambience and elecricity and lack of music adds so much to cutscenes i’m so pissed at Osaka team

Here's the thing. This cutscene was added for KH1FM which came AFTER the American version of KH1 (came in December). There's quiet a few cutscenes in the game of no voices with just text because the game was released in just Japan only for 11 years, and they didn't get any of the English voice actors to record for new cutscenes. KH2FM was the same way, and it didn't get English voiced for the extra cutscenes until 2014. So, that Roxas and Axel talk cutscene in KH2FM PS2 had no voices.
I'm pretty sure Jenova cells and the like aren't a thing for the FF7 characters in the Kingdom Heartsverse, but I'd always imagined that if Cloud's Jenova cells made him grow a wing, it'd be a demonic one like here.

when i first saw this cutscene and compare it to KH2 i always believed that Sephiroth won the fight and Cloud's causality for losing was Sephiroth cut off his wing and even absorbed the wing as if you compare Sephiroth look in KH2 he has an extra set of wings inside his coat. Even Cloud said "I'll get him. This time for sure." kinda implying that he lost back in KH1.

it also helps that in the FM version beating Sephiroth gives you the One Winged Angel Keyblade instead of just farming him for exp

I actually prefer it being so fast, it’s a change of pace compared to all normal KH scenes where they fight so slow
