Great work, big brother biodun, building and raising giants for posterity
Good job Biodun, this is very encouraging. As you care for the progress of others, God will care for your progress too. Definitely there is a future for this Choir. Keep up the good job.
Great job Sir..
Niiice
Well done sir. This is quite a joy to behold.
I actually attended organ training sessions during my University's days (though I was more interested in the theory than the actual playing of the instrument).
With respect to articulation (15:43), I learned (from my tutor) that the distinction between the organ and the piano in terms of note sustain is indeed a significant one. The organ, with its ability to sustain notes as long as a key is pressed, allows for a different approach to phrasing and articulation compared to the piano, where notes naturally decay quickly after being struck.
He told us to avoid staccato on the organ unless it's specifically indicated by the composer or the song is martial/military in origin. He taught us with a more legato-focused approach, which is often preferred in many organ traditions. This technique helps to create a smooth, connected sound, emphasizing the unique qualities of the organ's sustained tone.
Beautiful, well done CM, in a short time, our young ones will handle the organ adequately. God bless you.
Bro Abiodun, when should I come for my own training
How can one reach for a new student enrollment.
