Awesome video as always! Been following your builds for several years now and they’re always so informative. Love what you’ve done to your new coupe. What part of CA are you in? I’m in SoCal and have been wanting to get some carbon ceramic tint on my ‘17 V6. Would love a recommendation if you’re close!
I personally would go a smidge lower, but that MY person taste. It’s really clean dude. I really wish there was more people like you in the Honda community! Clean, simple, OEM+ looks have always been the best look for Hondas in my opinion
Sorry, I'm not a big car guy so I'm finding it hard to understand how a 2016 model is better than 2017. What did you feel lacking in 2017 that you ha to buy a very similar 2016 model again? Is it just the 6 speed manual ? or is there more?
There will always be a spot in my heart for the 6-6. I had 4cyl MSM Sedan and traded it for a WOP Touring, but idk I like the Deep Blue Opal Metallic on the coupes especially when it’s detailed is crazy good looking. For the steering wheel maybe consider upholstery shop and have it restitched? Idk what’s the starting price on that 🤷♂️ Any plans on the OEM underbody spoilers/lips? I think they’ll look good. But nevertheless really clean 💎
Yeah that blue is nice too, little more purple and muted. Still Night Pearl is still my favorite tho lol. Honestly if I'm gonna do that I may as well just replace the wheel, we'll see. It's definitely on the future list. Call me crazy but I don't really vibe with the HFP kit on the 16-17s, it's just a little too visually busy for me. Thanks tho!
Hey bro wanted to ask a question , i have this year accord and the MBSTM system is annoying and i cant turn it off. It doesnt come with a button unlike newer models to turn it off and the vehicle settings on the screen does not allow me to turn it off, what do i do and how did u turn it off? Need help majorly pls bro
I just bought the 2016 lx-s It’s my first car I’ve purchased. Previous I had a 2007 Volvo XC70 which was my first vehicle. I’m so happy with my accord. It is my dream car. Can’t wait to throw some money at it
Cool 'retro' shift knob...on a 6'er. Great work on the exterior..and interior looks fine...cept for what you mentioned about the steering wheel...but as you say, It is what it is.. A pricey item to replace...unless you put a cover on it...!?!? - We have a 'new to us' 6AT Touring stock..liking it so far...except for the passenger seat...!! Cheers bud.
Nope, especially at a lot of low quality body shops (which my car was certainly taken to, because the dealership had it done). For a proper paint match you really gotta have it blended, and you also gotta consider that paint will look slightly different on plastic vs metal. White and Silver is especially hard to match perfectly.
@@accordinglyryan i think your right about metal and plastic, the factory paint has a slight different shade between the metal body and plastic parts if u look super close. .......last year a truck ran into my rear bumper. very minor scrape to the point where a. touch up pen would fix the black palstic exposed. guy took off. ive considered doing it right and having the bumper repainted....though its pearl white which im told is one of the hardest colors to match. would you say its worth doing or do you think it would look completely off?
I’ve never seen a accord so clean I’m glad you put a good stance on it most accords are slammed to the ground but this is practical and definitely a drivers car I love the wheels as well and the tire setup the blue shift nob and borla exhaust definitely give this car a sportier feel as well the j30 is a great motor and makes good power you definitely have a underrated but special car
Man that thing looks amazing! There's no beating a professional detail! Had my Accord professionally detailed when i bought it, and it blew me away lol. The paint was crystal clear!
@@rdulder Yeah basically you stick a small screwdriver in between the knob and the silver ring (on the side facing you) to unlatch it. The Acuity boot collar kit replaces the factory ring to keep the boot up with the new knob
Do you know how much camber you are running in the front for the wheel/tire setup? I have the same size but pokes a lot in the front. I ordered tein lowering springs but will probably have to return them and get some Flex Zs so i can make the front fit.
Looking great man! Love all that maintenance. What are your wheel and tire specs? Wheels are coming soon on my list and your fitment is really close to what I want.
It’s definitely a good feeling when everything is all up to date lol and hmm I want a flush fitment and was planning on 19x9.5 +35 with 255/40 tires. Yours sticks out a bit, I wonder if +38 would make it flush? I’ve never bought wheels so I’m trying to get it right the first time lol
@@JBLshelton +38 will be inset by 3mm more. Almost no difference lol. The front definitely pokes a bit, but I didn't wanna go with a staggered setup because I drive too much to not rotate my tires.
Definitely needs the Honda OEM HFP lip kit and would look even better. Added it to my 2017 and so much nicer! Without it the car looks so much more bare and base looking.
Let me ask you a question... I have a 2016 Accord Coupe V6... can you replace the Halogen Headlight Assembly with the OEM LED Headlight Assembly???? And wouldn't the Headlights still be under honda warranty ?? I'm just curious and want to make sure before I order the set
Yes sir! I honestly love that thing lol. It's my dog hauler and utility vehicle. 193K on it at the moment, it's developed a pretty good oil leak so I'll have to get that sorted somewhat soon, and it's gonna be due for a timing belt also. But otherwise it's been mint!
@@accordinglyryan From what i’ve read on one of the Facebook forum pages (Honda Accord Coupe- 11.9 k members, if you try to find it), it’s a lot cheaper to do it yourself either by wrapping it or using plasti dip and a sealant… but either way, the car is beautiful! Finding a manual on a 16-17 v6 coupe is a unicorn. Do a search online, they’re practically non existent and Honda has stopped making manuals.
That blue and ceramic tint is nice. She is a beauty and a definite keeper. Great Job!!
