What's so cool about the last one Encarnacion hit is usually to hit it in the 5th deck you need to hit it down the line, but for his he didn't which is crazy.
Edwins was the furthest. The last one of the video. When he hit it right near the foul pole its cool but those ones further over are deeper and LEGIT BOMBS. Well they're all bombs, 5th deck is no joke whatever part of it.
The stadium I've been to most is Kaufmann in KC. The home team dugout is on the 1st base side there. I see Toronto dugout on the 3rd base side. Is there no uniformity to which side the home team dugout is on?
Joe Carter went 5th deck once, Canseco did, Mcguire 5th deck, Manny Ramirez, and Carlos Delgado also went 5th deck right field. Those are the ones I Remember actually watching.
I was going to say that he forgot to put them in here, but then I read the description and it said "recent memory". They would have made the video so much better.
@@kermitfrog593 lol. What a strangely wrong and worthless comment countered up by overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Toronto had just won back to back World Series a couple years previous. Attendance in 1996 was 2.59M or 31.6K per game, and that was for a sub 500 team. Sheesh. I know your comment is a year old, but, come on...
I remember I was at a Blue Jay's game and Josh Phelps hits a homerun way up there. Surprised it isn't on here. I had seats at the 5th deck when he hit right near me.
Interesting story (to me anyway) on Josh Phelps. I was a young kid, 14 I believe, and was doing a Little League clinic at Smokies Stadium (then The Blue Jays Double-A affiliate). He, Orlando Hudson, Felipe Lopez and one of the pitchers took a liking to me and were showing me around the club house, etc. (I had been named MVP in my local league and my stats were posted on the board) anyway, I was kind of a jokester and instead of asking them for their autographs, I jokingly said "let me sign your hats, you'll be in the big leagues alot sooner if you do". Signed all of them and they all had made their Big league debuts by the end of the season. I'll never forget those times, some of my greatest memories. I think I was the only member of the Josh Phelps fan club for a good decade haha
Edwin has had some HUGE blasts at the dome. Another one to CF almost hit the jumbotron a few years ago. It ended up in a private box about 10 feet below it. Easily 480 feet.
And I did that deliberately because we've all seen the Canseco and McGwire 5th deckers a million times lol. I'm still searching for Delgado's and Green's home runs. Canseco would visit the 5th deck two more times in his career after that '89 shot.

That last Edwin blast is unreal. Truly. I rewound the video. What a shot.
It looks a lot cooler when theres actually people up there
Agreed!
It’s not 1993 anymore lol

He swung so hard at that pitch. Probably would have fallen over if he missed!

That last home run was epic. I wonder if we’ll see someone hit a 5th deck blast too left center or right center field someday.
Adam Garnes I think judge can do it. To center field he didn’t during batting practice but not in a game

Manny’s was the longest ever
McGwire and Carter's came in the same weekend series in 1996
Didn’t Griffey hit the facade in right field in ‘96, as well?
@@nathanlalande3321 Canseco hit the back wall in the left field 500 level that was the farthest ball hit in skydome
I think Canseco did it first, 89' ALCS. That was the best one. Silenced 50 thousand people. He was like Ivan Drago in there.
He also hit a foul ball into the same section. I know because I was sitting near it
So did McGwire during the regular season in '96 watch?v=-BmNvWc6_3Y
@@Revbone450 not the same, no one cared about baseball in Toronto in 96.

I love the sound of that Edwin last one you no its a bomb as soon as he hits it
It was a missile!
my favorite part of this is Mike Napoli & Alex Dickerson homeruns because of the commentators, they're so funny.
Thanks for uploading! Go Jays! : D
Chapman just came about a foot in height from hitting the 5th deck moonshot
I saw a Texas player hit one up there during batting practice a couple years ago. Crazy
This video is missing the longest of them all... Manny Ramirez 2001 shot almost to the back of the 5th deck. Look it up on RUclips!
I remember I was at a Blue Jay's game and Josh Phelps hits a homerun way up there. Surprised it isn't on here. I had seats at the 5th deck when he hit right near me.
I've been looking for Josh Phelps' home runs for about a decade now and haven't found them. He did it twice (2002 and 2004).

@Parker Phelps Never did find it. Remember seeing it once on TSN and the picture wasn't the best when they viewed the crowd. It's to bad
Are you guys still on here and looking for that clip?

Holy shit those where monster Homers
What about the three longest...? McGwire, Canseco, and Ramirez?
Those have been covered in great detail in other videos. I wanted to show the more recent home runs.
Not one homerun over 480 in these? Canseco's looked to be in the same area but measured at 540?
@@harvjr8662 Yeah was a wild guess back then, but was not more than 425 - 450. The height of that shot is what added to the wow factor.
Jose Canseco was the first to hit one up there back in the day, if I remember correctly.
It wasn't just that it was 435 & 450 ft. It was that it was WAY UP THERE and 435 & 450 ft :)
happened again today with donaldson
I saw! It was a 447 foot shot!

Where was the Jose Canseco blast in the post season?
I know he was on steroids but...it was a bomb!!!
LET'S GO OAKLAND!!
Let's go who?
Canseco was the first to hit in the upper decks. It was in the ‘89 ALCS.
No one hit it in the upper deck for many years after that.
Can you do 3rd deck at Target field? There hasn't been many there..about 2 maybe 3 a season
Good idea! I'll start working on that tonight!
Baseball Cinema Thank you! I love going there :)
Donaldson and Bautista have hit the 3rd deck there a couple times I'm pretty sure.
not seen here - delgado, shawn green, canseco, mcgwire

Josh Donaldson hit the facing of the 5th deck. It wasn't a true upper deck shot. The Jose Canseco one is the most famous at Skydome.
yup
Canseco also did it in 1999. I was at the game for it.
I was at a jays game in 2019 where there almost was a fifth deck home run, it just went right of the pole and was foul
They can sure swing it!!!!!!!
I totally get it... thanks for the reply
look up canseco and mcgwires blasts ino the upper deck in toronto
I didn't include them because we've all seen the Canseco and McGwire 5th deckers a million times lol. I'm still searching for Delgado's and Green's home runs.
Legend has it that Josh Gibson is the only player to hit a ball out of Yankee Stadium. It's a shame he never got to play in the major leagues.😒
Bullshit, they also claim 800 to 900 hrs and there's only 165 documented. GTFO
Canseco did it back in 1988
1989, in the ALCS . . . dome didn't open till June 1989
Before I watch, I'm gonna guess most of these are Donaldson, Bautsita, and Edwin
Just imagine a metal bat😬
Short season here.
I thought the guy in the thumbnail was vlad not Donaldson
And the blue jays are back can’t wait to go to a game
Going next Saturday!
@@billiscool7647 wow I was there too glad they won
Brandon Lowe and Meadows did it in the same inning

Bill Hughes back to back World Series and now world champs in basketball. We are taking over all your sports 🤣
Miranda Lovejoy yeah back to back 25 years ago😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️
@@Laura-uc6zo ...with all those Canadian players. 🙃
Why did all of them bounce off? Is there a net up there?
I believe it's because the balls are hitting the seats and then bouncing back onto the field.
Baseball Cinema Oh okay, makes sense. I subbed btw, nice video!
Thanks a bunch!! :)
Baseball Cinema lmaooooo
Where is the Canseco blast?
Didn't include it because I wanted to show the most recent home runs.
Why does it always bounce off
Usually from bouncing off empty seats
No Griffey
Donaldson lol... weight room! Weight room!
Canseco and Ramirez hit one up there on roids. These ones were hit with juiced balls instead
power
YESSIR
CANSECO
The manny ramirez was 501feets and i did'nt see !! 😝😝
The reason you didn't see it is because it's been played so many times in long home run montages. It also only traveled 450 feet.
what about CANSECO ??
@@baseballcinema Agree with the estimate as that shot was very similar to the last home run by Edwin in this video.
What's this "upper tank" shit?
