Even before she became leader, it was clear she had no loyalty to her own staff, and there were multiple instances of her wanting to throw them under the bus to save herself. She was a pretty useless opposition leader, but as an MP, she was not different enough to say she was horrible. Most of the shit she wanted to do got immediately shat on by Malcolm to make life easier for the same people she was holding the rubbish for.

The party is also fragmented in which key party members don't share the same political agenda. BoJo embodies the traditional leadership traits but doesn't do policies which actually deliver value and sacked ministers whose political interests don't align with his. Jacob Rees Mogg only cares about being the hypocritical upper-class "gentleman" to serve the far-right voters. Theresa May is the woman who was weak to unite her party and lacked the will to compromise with the EU. Sajid Javid was the minister who had a liberal agenda and humble background, while his protege Rishi Sanuk is assumed to be a mole planted by BoJo to spy on Sajid and was promoted to Chancellor when Sajid was ordered BoJo to sack his advisors.

    you can just tell that malcom had been planning what he was going to tell her, at the start of the video he was pacing back and forth, eavesdropping to find the perfect moment to come in, or when dan gave the head nod at around 0:30. he did just enough insulting and destructive wording to break her spirit (you can see that on her face at 1:10)
    but you can tell when she talked about pissing into his tent what came next was all on him from his core. when he was having a go at her before his voice was low, serious, and was intentionally like that to put the weight of what he was saying across, but when he talked about how she would fuck up her pissing he spoke in a raised voice, he leaned in close as if about to pounce over the table and begin throttling her, and while his words continued to stay condensed enough that they broke her harder, they carried more weight because they werent rehearsed and they were meant to be felt and they were meant to cut deep and hurt hard, which they did.

      Of course, the best bit is that Nicola's right - the inquiry does fuck over Malcolm and he has a massive fall from grace due to a combination of his actions and arrogance. Nicola is the only one who actually comes out of the series OK. Everyone else either loses their jobs or is stuck in the same cycle they were in before. Murray looks a bit silly and scatter-brained, but nothing she's done is really that bad, and she manages to take down an entire era of political spin by pushing for the inquiry to go further.

      nicola doesnt actually come out OK, shes turned into a backbencher where she was before, possibly even resigning from politics completely. the only ones i think who came out OK was dan miller and ollie, who rose to be the top dogs, replacing nicola and malcolm respectively. the rest as you say fell flat and lost their jobs or theyre stuck in the loop (to quote the movie name).
      and nicola wasnt actually right, since she wanted to stop the inquiry because it would have fucked her over since she supported the bill. the inquiry that actually fucked malcolm over was a near completely different one, since at this stage it was just about the bill that made mr tickel homeless, and when it brought down malcolm it was about the entirety of leaking - thanks to the two dipshit coalition "we bought a bank" bunglers and glenn cullens inability to redact causing the inquiry team to look at leaking as a whole. that wasnt nicola pissing into malcolms tent like she said she would.
      malcolm did kind of bring himself down though, youre right there. his past actions caught up with him and forced him to step out of the limelight of politics.

      Nicola Murray is the general state of the Labour party.

    • @Comando96
      @Comando96 7 лет назад +6

      The Conservatives got more seats, than Labour, the SNP, the Lib Dems, Plaid, and the Greens combined.
      And that was after the Conservatives produced one of the worst manifesto's in history, and Labour one of the best... I think my assessment is entirely fair.

    • @jonathanhenly99
      @jonathanhenly99 7 лет назад

      If the conservatives produce a shit manifesto and Labour a good one then that makes Nicola Murray the conservative party. She's the type of person to fuck up a 25 point advantage in 2 months.
