    had episodes since i was 10 and didn’t know what it was. It wasn’t until I was 26 that we were actually able to catch it as they got worse. Had ablation done not long after and spent a few years in fear of doing any physical activity. fast forward 6 years later I haven’t had an episode and back to heavy cardio activity again. I wouldn’t wish this disease on my worse enemy as it’s crippling. For those that are still fighting it stay positive through your episodes as hard as it may be. ❤

    Thankyou! This has been mentioned by my docs for years and scaring the crap out of me. I have worn a holter for 48hrs a few times over this period, but nothing seems to happen til it shuts itself off. Surprise. Now my current Doctor suggested a holter that is worn alot longer. I have been having strange episodes of deep long coughs that turn into almost a fit. ? Idk how to explain it to someone. My hearing gets echoy and I get kind of whoozy. Then I start shaking. Last time it was really bizarre. I was sitting on bed and I just fell over and I felt like I had a mild convulsion. My head was snapping. No one around tho. So anyway if you see this and have any info to share , that'd be great. Have a good SAFE weekend. Thankyou🙏😷 ps it is weird that I found out later about the mag for AFib. They monitor me alot because my heart rate is always very fast. And we've been trying to catch the weird fluttering blurps that I have with a bolter but nothing happens until after it shuts off😕 Idk if the mag is helping yet. Not saying I have AFib or whatever. It's just surprising to me.

      I would check out a couple other things. Have you had a sleep study (sleep apnea can be a precursor of afib). I also have had BPPV. Not sure what started it, but had a thorough test workup at the National Dizzy & Balance Center. Along with P.T. and fortunately I had the vertigo flare up while I was at therapy and the PT was able to do the procedure to correct it. A lot of your symptoms are similar to a vertigo attack for me. Some of the things that will trigger the vertigo as well as afib are dehydration which leads to an electrolyte imbalance, and lack of quality sleep.

    But is it possible that a mental situation can cause Afib? Specially in this time of the pandemic and the stress you have in the day by day change.

    • @deborahpeeples1439
      @deborahpeeples1439 2 года назад +4

      Growing up doesn't negate the physiologic effect of stress. Stress, any stress, actual or perceived, causes the release of the stress hormone, adrenaline. And adrenaline increase the heart rate, which can be a trigger for A fib. If you are having episodes of fluttering or pounding feelings in your chest a cardiologist can put a 24 hr monitor on you, send you home with it. My advice to anyone concerned, but not comforted by your physician's responses: get a second opinion. Many are concerned about making their doctor angry, or hurting feelings if they get second opinion. Your responsibility is to be a wise steward of your heart health. A secure doctor will support your decision.

    • @Wildsoul62

      High sodium is caused by low potassium, and since potassium sodium are electrolytes you are out of balance. I suggest a high fruit and greens diet along with a colon cleanse. The potassium will flush the excess sodium from the body as long as the kidneys are good. Eating the standard diet means high sodium low potassium, that needs to be reversed.

    There are three conditions that create symptoms doctors label as disease. Address those three reasons and the disease can be corrected. I cured my afib because it was a toxicity condition caused by a toxic colon creating malabsorption that created the afib.It was both a problem of toxicity and a problem of deficiency. Since it was corrected the condition has evaporated like rain off the sidewalk. All chronic degenerative disease has roots in the colon and digestion.

      I agree. I believe that I have finally figured out why I have had these totally debilitating attacks for over a year. My attacks{one lasting 11 hours} seem to be worse than what anyone has yet described. It is a lack of electrolites{magnesium, potassium, sodium} caused by chronic diahrea For a few years. I realize now that I have not been absorbing minerals. Now I must ascertain why the diahrea while I supplement my own liquid electrolyte mix.Blood tests are not always a good test as the blood will hold onto it last because it feeds the brain, while your organs can still be deficient.
