The lighting update is most noticable during early morning or sunset if you set the time of day to auto. Japan is where it's most noticable at night. It may not seem like much but it really does make a difference in the visuals overall.
The locked vehicle restriction for racing was what it used to be and people asked to vote for it instead. Then what happened was people could simply vote for ANY or 1500 and control the flow of the race in their favor with overpowered cars. I personally wasn’t a fan of that because in the right server you almost NEVER had the opportunity to use anything rated
@@crnoidz I disagree. Newer players would often get frustrated and discouraged because they can't keep up with the faster and more expensive cars. This evens the playing field for them so anybody, no matter what level they are, can be competitive at the game. But also it promotes more unique builds because now that you have a wider selection of restrictions with races where certain cars are stronger than others, experienced players now have to diversify their collection to stay on top. For example, the 600 class will need builds for top speed, handling, off-road, etc. And that needs to happen all across the board (400, 800, 1000, 1500, ANY) which means no one car can be so dominant. Basically instead of owning one hypercar to dominate every single race or just picking out the most expensive stuff to be fast, you need to build a car collection that has range no matter what race you enter. Before, you just had to have a Bugatti as your only car to be fast everywhere. Now your Civic can be just as competitive as your Bugatti. I think that's way better than forcing everyone to grind to the top just so the races can turn out to be more or less the same.
