I appreciate how you went to the lengths to actually recreate how the buzz sounds and not just take the uncompressed sample. A lot of people don't realize that these composers made their songs knowing how they would actually sound on hardware and I'd say this is waay more faithful to the original vision than just taking uncompressing the samples!
Hey, thanks, I appreciate that! It's nice to hear when people comment on a specific sound. I did find the original uncompressed buzz sound, but it sounded nothing like how it does in the game and preferred the one I made myself. Yeah I remember seeing a video with Grant and Graeme explaining how they went about getting the music to sound somewhat decent on the hardware.
I'm showing my autism but I love that this is one of the few covers of Bunker I where the treble part actually goes up to C7, because whether it's an audio artifact in the original or the original game midi does that, I swear that's what my ear hears. Most other covers don't sound right to me. Good work!
These are amazing and well made. Totally fitting in with the spirit of each level. Like it sounds like what I thought of the levels back when I played the game back in 97 when the game was new and I was young.
Aw thankyou so much for the great feedback! I'm glad that it sounds that way to you because that is the feel I was going for when I first started these remakes. Thankyou for listening ☺️
@CrookedSkew I wanted to try get the buzzing synth sound as close to the original as I could. I tried using the original uncompressed samples but it sounded horrible within the mix. This is another case of the samples sounding completely different once compressed for the game. I instead chose to recreate the buzzing sample within Serum
Thanks for giving this one a listen. I'm working on Silo at the moment. I'm remaking these tracks in the order that the levels are in, so Bunker 2 isn't too far off. ☺️
Hey, yeah that is my plan. I originally was only going to do a remake of Dam just to see how it turned out. I enjoyed the process so much that I decided to set a project to do the entire OST. Subscribing would be much appreciated 😁
Great work with the track as always, but I think you made a mistake and misremembered which X track is Bunker 1 and which one is for Bunker 2. Take a look: ruclips.net/video/3D08J_sXRNA/видео.html That would explain why you think they don't transition well together, I think you got them mixed up.
Hey, I put the x track from bunker 2 on this one as its clear that this was how it was meant to transition, the instruments including the buzz synth are the same, just faster. I've used the OST uploaded by Graslu00 for my reference rather than how it is in game. Hope that explains why I made it this way :)
@@mattspence1337 After listening to both Bunkers and their Xes, now I see what you mean. You're right, that is pretty weird that 1's X sounds better for 2 and vice versa.
@@SayVandelay that was the only reason why I chose to put Bunker 2 X on the end of this track, just because it flows better. Thanks for listening dude, much appreciated as always.
Incredible. I don’t think anyone cares about the soundtracks to Tomorrow Never Dies and World is Not Enough, but there are some greats on it too.
😳😳😳🔥🔥🔥
Love how he pulls the "X" labeling from Perfect Dark .. sneaky
The song that plays through my mind when I get water at 1:00am. Great remix! Keep it up! Nightfire would be a cool remix 007 to do.
@@Dorky9394 hey thankyou!!
I'm so glad I found your channel, these remixes are amazing.
Ahh thankyou so much, cheers for listening 😊

I was NOT prepared for 5:04, absolute banger
That's the feeling I get from a lot of these x tracks, some just hit so hard 😆 thanks for checking it out 😊

I like how you've shifted part of the music to what sounds like live electricity.
