I started in the Catchup Crew in Late-November of 2023. I have done nearly everything, except maybe an assignment or two, and the twitter check-ins. (mixed reviews on catchup crew doing check in's since its not live when you tweet) One of the hardest years of my life, and just recently lost my Mom in law who was more of a mom to me than my real mom, on August 26th this year (24') Very thankful for you Leon! I promised my MIL i would continue to chase this goal of becoming an employed dev and I will actually have a shot at becoming a dev because of the time you put in. I will find a way to give back one day.
“Pull people along with you. How do I get you a few seats ahead in that rollercoaster?” Leon, you’re not a boss, you’re a leader. A boss tells people what to do, a leaders SHOWS people what to do.. by example. This model is what truly changes people lives for the better. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Incredibly helpful and insightful video. Leon's experience getting folks jobs in the industry really shows in the way that he's able to break down the information thoughtfully.
leon i did all the homework and followed along but never submitted or retweeted i think im gonna submit a homework i have starting at class 1 every day please forgive me for my ineptitude
It depends on what the jobs around you require, but I also think that having a solid understanding of Node.js would go further than having a surface level understanding of all 3. Ultimately, though, talk to some of your networking contacts from your area and see what they say. They should have a good understanding of what skills your market needs.
@@robinherzig1294 my goal is a remote job not local one, living in iran i never ever wanna get hired anywhere here considering minimum wage is literally $250/mo , pretty pathetic .
If you can't handle me at my trough of sorrow, you don't deserve me at my wiggles of false hope

I. WANT. IT.
Do you think learning python & django for the sake of backend next to node is good or it's overkill ?
