    Very good video, thank you. Unfortunately we average joe people assume that architects that design the home know all this stuff and also assume and have faith that building inspector would catch any thing improper too but believe me after having one house built in now know you can put your trust and faith into anyone.

      It is very sad we can't take people for their word like we used to. That's why it's super important that if you are wanting to buy a home, you have it inspected fully beforehand so you don't have any surprises.

    We just had our house reroofed and the company no only replaced all the vents with new and better ones, they also put in a few additional ones.
    The company is owned by a neighbor and he told me he would treat my house like he does his.

      I always say, don't go cheap as it will cost you more in the end.

    We do have that smell in our attic and think it's from mold. Can poor attic ventilation cause mold? There is ventilation but I don't think there is enough.

      Yes, sadly poor attic ventilation can cause mold and mildew due to the condensation buildup.
