- The Swindon Panel Society's 2nd annual outing, to the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, on Saturday 26th September.
The RHDR was celebrating the 90th birthdays of No 1. Green Goddess and No 2. Northern Chief. We hired the bar car for the first half of the day, while the latter half involved a trip behind Green Goddess, then behind a quadruple header, and finished with our double header running in parallel with a pair of light engines. - Авто/Мото

Thanks for the video. So good to see this railway still operating. I had my first ride about 70 years ago.
The red engine-Doctor Syn-gave me a bit of a shock because for a second there I thought the name plate said Doctor Who
Nice but do you mean black? The red engine is called Winston Churchill.
4:08の位置で『バカー』と聞こえますが『バーカー』つまり『Bar car』
Just watched from Chicago, IL USA Looks like a first class operation, hope to make it there someday. Thanks for sharing!!!
Its strange seeing typhoon without her streamlined face plates
Was the locomotive named Southern Chief actually Southern Maid?
That was great! I wasn't going to watch all of it, but ended up doing just that. They really know how to put on a show. I really liked your close-up of a lever interlocking plant in action, something not often seen, and now possibly impossible to see on a prototype railroad, at least in the U. S. I think the only way to improve on the side-by-side pacing sequence would be if the RH&D had a train of miniature freight cars to pull for such occasions. There I go, spending some other groups money they don't have!
Thanks Paul! It was a spectacular day; it'll be interesting to see what they do for their 100th!
First of all, Typhoon doesn't have her smoke deflectors, which is a bit odd.
Secondly, at 29:09, holy cow! I've NEVER seen a miniature engine's drive wheels spin that fast!

(old post ik) yea its cool scale speed of about 75 assuming they were doing 25 at the time
Green Goddess ftw
I thought the railway was opend in july 1927????
+TurbulanceMusic The RHDR itself opened 1927, but the 90th celebration was for No. 1 Green Goddess (which was running) and No. 2 Northern Chief (which was in bits in the workshop, undergoing overhaul)
You have ur 1000Th sub
28:05 How fast where numbers 7 and 8 going!!!!!
7 and 8 are probably the fastest on tje railway 2 of them pushing like that with no added weight... Probably 30 as their scale doesn't allow much faster
