Young justice already has enough characters why are they bringing characters from another show all this did was take away from rocket arc kind of a pointless character and his problem from the other show wasn't resolved so what was the point
The point was it wasn't just about Rocket, it's some connections with the Green Lanterns who were also part of the main plot including the set up of Green Lantern Lady Forger. It also sets up Metron's Vault which later houses the Phantom Zone Projector for the season long story arc. If you want some fun deep interpretations you could say Razor's repairing of the statues is the set up of change for the alliance between New Genesis, Earth & the Green Lantern Corps. A chance to show Rocket that her son is more than he seems just as Razer is more than just Rage or Hope & can be more. Plus this also helps expands the DC universe more so we might get more stuff later on with the different Lanterns maybe later on the Blackest Night event. Also this was nice step forward for Razer that we were promised before he finds Aya too.
