    This was a great tip. Unplugged main battery. 12volt battery measured 12.25volts. Disconnected negative terminal waited 20 minutes. Reconnected 12v battery, reconnected main battery. Now 12 volt measured 14.4 volts, charging voltage. The alert message was cleared. The 12v battery date 2018/08/14 about 3.5 years old. Hopefully this will allow time to find a suitable replacement. Thanks

    Work like a charm after 12 battery went dead on me needed to replace the battery it gave ton of errors. After following your procedure everything goen away and everything working like it should

    I don't understand.. Did you actually replace the battery? I didn't see that in the video. Also, why did you wait exactly ten minutes to reconnect the cable?

    Was that just a temporary fix ? Do I still need to replace the battery?

      Even the new batteries will give you this issue after some time. When the battery is dead! Then replace it. This should give you a year wiggle room. You’ll know when it’s completely gone. Really appreciate your comment, thank you for watching this video , dont forget to subscribe.

    In the steps above you got it right however in the video you re-connected the 12v battery before the penthouse logic connector, you shouldn't do it that way. Also you struggled with replacing the rear seat, that was because you hadn't fed the seatbelt catches back through the hole first.

    So does a bad 12 v battery cause this issue ? Do you need to get it replaced ? Mine is about 3 years old and just got the message.

      Sometimes is ghost errors. For instance doing this procedure clears codes , if it the error comes back I call a ranger to take a look. This fixes most error codes .Try it.. make sure you leave the doors open!!!     I have the same problem but can't fix it. The only thing I did differently first I unplugged 12V then back seat one. Order of that procedure does matter? Should I unplug back seat one first?
    And another question in the video you didn't lower down any windows however you suggest.
    I'm looking for your response

      Open doors> disconnect 12v battery> unplug main battery harness> wait 10 minutes> replug battery harness> re connect 12V battery > close doors

    how do you know if your actual battery needs replacing and your not just bandaiding an issue?

      It just dies and hard reboot will not work, or the 12v battery is lower than 12 v.

    So you do NOT need to replace the 12v battery at all? Just unplug and replug?

      Correct. You only need to replace it when it is completely dead in the water.

    My battery is 2 1/2 years old and I had the same exact issue. I followed all your steps and it fixed the issue yesterday. Do you know if this is a temporary fix or if this actually fixes entire issue until the battery is no longer good?

    This worked for me when I got the faults after replacing 12v battery. This would be considered the procedure for replacing the 12v battery.

    I have done this exact thing twice now because the 12 volt battery prompt in the MCU randomly returned after about a month. Any advice? Hopefully it will not return.

      This could actually mean that your battery is degraded .. get it checked!😉⚡️🚘

      Do we hook 12v back up first or the connector under the seat? Someone in comments said connect under seat first?

      Yes… connect main power.. ( leave the doors open, then the battery..)

    I try this method on my MYP after 3 months shipment in container with not fully deattached 12v battery
    After all steps I see message about problem with electrical system, but after 10 sec this message disappeared and all be ok

    I brought modeel 3 from USA and when rich here in UAE 12V battery and main battery zero voltage. I change new 12V batter and still I cann't charge main battery in zero voltage and message as below.
