@@cannoneermike Hey! I did some experiments with this and while i could make it somewhat work with the PlayIdle function it was very unstable. That function just isnt made to be used mid-combat. Being inexperienced with the extremely complex and problematic Skyrim animation system, that's where my experimentation stopped. No current plans to keep digging into it atm I'm afraid.
The sabertooth talking is in fact canon. Its a Pahmar Khajiit. There are like 20 different types of Khajiit in the lore. Khajiit are born differently depending on the positions of the moons.

Objection!! The coolest magic mod is Mage Vr, being able to draw different runes in the air to use whatever spell you want is the coolest thing ever and lets you have the full mage experience in skyrim, its just the best and the core mod of my skyrim vr now
Honestly, that’s subjective. For me, it literally never works. The backpack doesn’t work well with the VRIK holsters, the lockpicking minigame makes no sense to me and the gestures literally never work. So ultimately, MageVR just isn’t for everyone.
I still want to see a Blade and Sorcery-style melee combat mod for Skyrim. Being able to just wiggle my wrist and kill enemies is kinda dull after finding B&S.

Play as an Argonian and swim underwater without needing to resurface. It's surprisingly tranquil on a flat screen. I imagine it's an even better experience in VR.
I recommend the mod "3D Casting FX - Fire and Frost Hand FX Replacer" to make fire spells look good in your hand, instead of the crappy flat gif in vanilla.
The way you grab the sword and transfer the power to it is cool as hell, hopefully B&S could implement that as opposed to only being able to do it via element ball
Conduit looks pretty cool, i'll give it a shot. Also, I HIGHLY! recommend Spell wheel and navigate vr. Spell wheel, with the vrik/higgs holsters basicaly had the side effect of me very rarely opening a menu. Navigate vr combined with a fully disabled world map made for one of the most immersive exploration experience I ever achieved.. I got lost... a lot... there's is no words to explain the feeling of being in the middle of a dense forest and looking for a the throat of the world, a river, a landmark, anything that could tell you where you are so you can point that compass in the right direction. I suggest you also add better quest objectives tho if you wanna try it, not having acess to map markers makes finding the objectives a bit of a pain with those vague unhelpful quest descriptions. Good stuff as always Habies.

I am struggling (like many are I imagine) to get Skyrim VR in a playable state with mods, not just talking about the compatibility but also the whole 'it just works' side of the vanilla game. Vortex/Nexus has just started this weird new thing called collections, similar to the ones on the steam workshop where you can share all the mods you have working in your skyrim. As many others have said, yes! The talking sabertooths are in-fact canon. They're not even the weirdest variants of Khajiit, either!! Depending on the phases of the moon, you can get the Khajiit from Skyrim, human-like feet and all, the Khajiit from Morrowind, with a completely different leg structure or a literal house cat that talks. Hell, apart from the first and second games, you've never actually played as the same subrace, when picking a Khajiit! Hell, the first two games [all the way back in 1994-96] featured Khajiit that looked completely human, but with cat ears. These are still canon.

I'm planning on eventually getting a VR headset myself (Gotta get one with mechanical IPD though so that rules out quite a few of them) and Skyrim is definitely gonna be one of the first big VR games I'll grab. It really looks like alot of fun and would be the best way for me to start a whole new Skyrim playthrough.
About the canon of Khajiit, depending on the phases of the multiple moons, khajiit can be more or less cat. Some can appear as housecats, some can look almost like wood elves with tails, the big-cat ones might allow others to ride them into battle.
I think you would like to know that when you get a VR headset for modded Skyrim, it cannot be PSVR because that version doesn't have mods. You probably already knew that but if you didn't, this should save you from a minor tragedy.
The amount of fun you can have with Vigilant, Unslaad, and Glennoril in VR is just amazing. Physically picking up my dead loved ones and being denied closure is a solid 10/10 experience

In canon Khajiit can be full on four legged giant cats that either can or can't speak, depending on what time they are born, but still being fully sentient and intelligent. There's stories of them being rode into battle in lore.
There is currently a physical weapons mod being made that makes weapons move enemies arms and legs about as well as giving npcs IK. Its the final piece in the puzzle.

And the neat thing is, their type is completely dependent on the phase of the moon when they’re born. So a small kitty khajit can give birth to a cub that will grow into the size of a horse, or one that would look almost like a human infant.
Hey Habie, in case you didn't know about this already: the Skyrim total conversion Enderal is fully playable in VR. It has some minor rough edges, but with your modding experience, that shouldn't be a problem. It's my favorite VR game hands down. Probably not something for Twitch or the channel, since it's very main story focussed, but thought I'd shout it out regardless :) (Oh, and while I'm at it, Outer Wilds also has a fantastic VR mod!)

I'm glad you could easily play Skyrim VR and enjoy it. I found it so hard to play as the enemies don't really react at all and you can just too easily do the very quick back and fourth swipe with your sword to kill everything lol. It's annoying as I spent like a week molding it and getting it to work after I saw that video you posted with all the skyrim mods And then I played it for two hours and was still dissapointed lol
It would be amazing if you did a full video showing how to get Skyrim to what you have in place now. Yes, you have listed the mods but installling them is a very different experience, especfialy given the mods have a variety of options and there are a load of conflicts too.

The healing spell on the sword probably applied the turn undead effect to it. It causes undead hit with it to flee temporarily.

Spell siphon works great for vr too. It's also handy having everything with two spells

Dispel Undead is a wacky effect on a sword but it makes sense healing does that

Conduit is one of my favorite mods. Mix that in with strange runes and you're golden.
It would be amazing if you did a full video showing how to get Skyrim to what you have in place now. Yes, you have listed the mods but installling them is a very different experience, especfialy given the mods have a variety of options and there are a load of conflicts too.
