- Squad Leader TD-73028 Soliloquy a Star Wars meets Shakespeare Short Film.
Take a look at Stormtrooper TD-73028 in an existential crisis!
To be or not to be: Star Wars meets Shakespeare. Hamlet’s famous soliloquy is presented as the inner voice of a Stormtrooper, demonstrating the way Shakespeare’s language still echoes down to us through the centuries and remains as relevant today as ever---not to mention as well in a galaxy far, far away…
Director, producer, editor: Maxime-Claude L'Écuyer

Why is this so underrated… This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen…
WOW, damn. Very well moved and presented. Captivating - very unique point of view. Be Safe out there folks. Peace & Health to Us All ~ and Please DO NOT Kill Yourself - You Matter.
I've always thought Star Wars is the best story humans have told thus far in our span on this planet. I believe that because it's an epic poem, a fairy tale, a superhero tale, and yes a Shakespearean tragedy too all wrapped into a bundle of fantastic visuals and ideas. It's a tale that hits home both on a galactic scale and a personal one. This is a fantastic addition to the story. I applaud you.
Thank you so much!
the first six, at least, and maybe the spinoffs, but the sequels were so aimless and so pointless... they had no meaning, no message, they were empty tales
Agreed... too bad it Died on October 30th, 2012
That was beautifully done.
Still brilliant after so many years. Hamlet and Star Wars... win and win!
"The undiscovered country, from whose borne no traveler returns..."
Well said - Very apt here. ~ May I; The Masonic phrase, “To that undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveler returns.” was borrowed from playwright William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 1, Soliloquy. “But that the dread of something after death, the undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn. No traveller returns”. ~ Thank You & Be Well.
@@MyelinProductions Yup. That's it
Beautiful voice. Beautiful reading.
Thanks!
@@MCLECUYER1 ok
That was one the best pieces of Star Wars material I have ever seen. Great job!
Hudson Aberdeen thank you so much !! So appreciated :)
The two best things in the galaxy combined into one. Brilliant!

Nice...great reading of a great quote. Thank you.
Beautifully done
That was so fucking chilling. Absolutely brilliant.
Nice job! This has a tone we havent seen too much of in star wars. Very interesting
ShadowShade19 Thank you very appreciated :)
A long time ago in a galaxy far away..
Don't worry guys. He's a stormtrooper, so he probably missed.
Awesome! 🤘🏻
A group of squid is a squad
Just watched this. It's very deep and I will be sharing with friends
Its Sad But Amazing!!
sees one trooper helmet and kills himself instead of using com
me: Why you gotta do everything the hard way mate
This was a pretty cool video.
Gran trabajo!! Ya se lo compartí a mis amigos!! Vale la pena ser visto y apreciado.
Ojalá Disney lo viera.
I thought he was going to miss... Because, you know, he's a stormtrooper.
I would like to point out that Hamlet was at no point holding a skull in his soliloquy
And the whole point of the soliloquy is that he is afraid to die... Well, not to die, but to be dead... So I just naturally presumed the character wouldn't commit suicide. But still, a wonderfully executed film.
Love your video dude 👍👍
this is cool!
Good make more!
Subscribed. Excellent.
Bravo
Am I the only one who thought he was going to miss? x) That would have been a great plottwist! XD You managed to make it clear to your audience in a few minutes that you mastered those cinematic codes that makes the difference between movie shots and cinematic shots!! I'm currently working on a student VFX project for my studies and you made a few ideas bloom into my mind, thank you! Could I send it to you once it will be done?
Thanks ! Would love to see your film when finish!
Can there be a version of with the voice alone?
Plas,Plas,Plas. Nice . Awsesome . Preciosos Video . Greetings from Spain
Was a little weird at first but, when i read the description it made more sense. Still, good video, and it accomplished the purpose for which it was made. I would not recommend Disney or Lucas taking up Shakespeare in Star Wars though, lol.
It would be a brilliant idea...in the hands of a talented and nuanced director.
But its Di$ney. We'll continue to get inappropriate identity politics agendas and fart jokes until they finish the job of murdering a beloved franchise.
@@JetEngine787 there is a series of books which rewrote the films in the style of Shakespeare, though I have yet to see them used for an actual play
Bru no rescue with him like gary
Amazing! That said, it’s pretty downbeat.
In after........ day failed
