@@gillleehahn7451 I was used it for a month now and i have to say its solid, i undervolted my cpu and locked my cpu to its max speed in bios, the clocks stay solid.
Good review. Will be interesting how the VRMs hold up temp wise.
sadly the build was done and sold in a few hours so didn't get around to testing that in depth, but the system performed within expected ranges, so no throttling or overheating

I’ve got the ASUS PRIME B450M-A II I picked up new along side my ryzen 5600 a couple days ago. Great mobo for the money. Nice amount of usb 3 ports on the back too! Mine was ryzen 5000 ready out the box. Was prepared to use the flash back feature.
One thing I’m not so keen on is the ASU’s software for managing rgb. Other than that great board! Runs my ram 4000mhz stable.
asus software is terrible, lord knows how it even gets through QC

@@manman1098 I have a 6700 XT paired with this board. GPU is Pcie gen 4 compatible these board are gen 3, will work just fine but a few fps lost. Thinking of getting a new motherboard start of next year. This one does the job but it’s lacking more nvme ports and no gen 4 pcie

I'm interested in this board. Could be just what I need. I'd like to ask a couple of questions:
1: Can you please confirm how many case fan headers there are...looks like two?
2: Will there be enough clearance from the CPU to the graphics card slot to fit the Cooler Master 212 Black edition cooler?

I own this board, and the cpu compatibility was a big selling point to me. I don't use productivity programs, or anything of that nature, however I am a gamer. Do you think this board would be able to support a 5800x3d without thermal throttling the VRM's? I have a noctua nh-u9s chromax, which currently cools my ryzen 5 5600g very well while gaming at 1440p on arc a770. Would really appreciate any response!
it will thermal throttle under heavy loads, it really wasn't designed for modern processors and their much higher current draw

Hello! great video, pretty much the only actually great piece of information on this board, but i have a question, [ all apologies if it's slightly stupid ] , I have this board and there is an m.2 ssd already connected to it, [ WD Blue SN550 NVMe PCIe M.2 250GB ] as well as a 1tb hdd, my aim at the beginning was to replace the hard drive with another 1tb m.2 ssd, but as you said in the video there is only one m.2 slot, so what should i do instead? [ my main reason for replacing the hard drive is speed / loading time in games ] Thank you!
get a 1tb ssd that would be the better option for games and can use an available sata port

1 BIG question: based on the AM4 i can put the ryzen 7 5800X on it but would that be unefficient in some way like do I lose way too many frames because of bottleneck?
you lose the PCIe gen4 support for SSD and GPU and slower IO between the CPU and the chipset, but likely to be less than 5-10% in most cases

I always had good experience with Asus - k motherboard for simple budget build.
You don’t have to be a fan or even like the brand if the price fits your needs
@@PapaMav Yeah, I was talkink about their entry level motherboards, the Prime a320m-k that I got cheap from Amazon. While they are not my favorite, they worked well with APUs for simple media computer. I won't buy higher end Asus thou...

@@PapaMav for me, I need one good motherboard with good vrm, at least 3 pcie full lenght PCI-E and lot of m.2 slots. I don't need flashy stuff that increase the cost for nothing. But my 2 other computers has good quality matx motherboards that I bought cheap or as a warehouse deal from Amazon. In all fairness, I always had succes with warehouse deals. The cheaper one I got, an Asus prime a320m-k for 45$ iirc, came without the back plate. For 2$, aliexpress solved the problem.

Got this with ryzen 5600 for 200 Eur, best upgrade ever to use with 6700xt at least 144fps modern games with max graphics on 1080p. No need to invest more, cause next upgrade step is AM5. Mine board came with 4 Ram slots and 6 Sata ports a bit weird. Fan hub is like 8Eur hook up 3-4 fans and no heat throttling.
Since you got it for Euros, I'm pretty sure Asus sells the B450M-K II in the UK or something and the B450M-A II in Europe. The M-K II seems to only have 4 SATA ports and 2 RAM slots, while the M-A II looks almost exactly the same, but has 6 SATA ports and 4 RAM slots. Price is about the same, since the M-A II also hovers somewhere around 60-ish euros.
Does it come ready for an Ryzen 5600/ 5600x?
So no Bios Updated needed?
Is a 5700x too much for it?
I would pair it with my old.gtx 1070 ti 🙂
it should have an up do date bios unless it is a really old board or old stock. 5700x should be okay with some decent cooling but you are limiting the processors abilities with pcie gen3

@@mikesunboxing so i basically found this model for about 80$ in my country we don't have amazon so local is the only option also found the Asrock b550m pro 4 for about a 130$ the asus tuf b550 plus for 150$ and the gigabyte b550 DS3H for around 130$ so same as asrock worse vrm but has bios flashback. what should I get I'm honestly confused

i saw a ASUS Prime B450M-A II AMD AM4
and AMD5 RYZEN 4500 6-core MB and CPU combo on amazon, is it worth it? it went for 180
seems expensive if UK pounds, should be around £110 - £130
I had to switch my motherboards out, and after putting this one it, my pcie wifi adapter stopped being detected. Would you have any thought as to why? I can't seem to find anything online. Any help would be appreciated!

not much between them really, i would probably go with MSI for MSI center, as Armoury crate and AI suite suck

you won't get the full PCIe gen4 out of it but it will work and be about 95% of the performance

I didn't understand "windows 11 ready " how is that?
the bios update sets the TPM to on an also UEFI as default, along with secure boot enabled, all windows 11 requirements

Does it support an AIO?
i don't think so for the majority, but arctic or fractal do them that only need the CPU header output
so u only can have 1 fan in ur entire Pc?
unless you have a splitter or hub yes
so the 4500 can fit in without bios update
it will need version 3211 to run that chip so depends on the manufacturer date on the box
