Yeah I'm glad my Bolt has normal door handles. There's no reason to reinvent and overcomplicate basic things like door handles and steering wheels. They got it right long ago and it should be left alone.
The return of the Dust Buster [a portable vacuum] of the 1970s of cars. I bet the price will be super high. When the USA needs affordable EVs we get this
@lifeisgood12341 It was definitely nicer. The original brief for the Bear claw concept was even cooler. A 4wd Camaro/ Firebird until the bean counters caught wind.
Ever seen the picture of the horse that looks amazing the front half and then like a 5 year old drew it from the back half? Thats this. I’m sure it gets 5-10 more miles by that shape but that kills the whole thing for me.
I like the car, but I hate the doors. I’m not a fan of automated doors or pop out door handles. Where I live in the winter often I have to yank the doors to break the ice.
People don't want to wait for the slow door to open or close. The rear quarter is questionable. Initially, I thought this would have a retractable rear window folding into a tailgate, but then was disappointed to see the hatchback. Battery specs?
Not a fan of the yoke steering wheel, automatic opening doors or screen controlled air vents. Hopefully they go to more manual controls for those. Otherwise, I really like the look of it. Back could use a bit of work maybe. Also rather have a metal roof with a sunroof than a full glass roof.
I prefer regular handles but let’s stop acting like doors on vehicles haven’t had that problem before. The door or even the handles sticking in cold & ice conditions have always been an issue which is why people who live in these areas keep some sort of deicer to get their doors open in the winter.
Interesting, but I hope the power doors don't make it to production. It may seem cool but it seems like something else that can go wrong, which doesn't suit someone who wants to keep a car for as long as possible. It also seems to contradict "Thin, Light, and Wise." Extra complexity, like motors to open and close the door would just be adding extra weight, add extra cost and bring little to the experience of driving the car.

@@ambee514Kona and Niro don't have great range and slow charging, F-150 is massively expensive for its capability and isn't a car so doesn't get all that great range and on a range per minute recharge it's near as bad as the Kona/Niro problem just using more energy, the Caddy is nice but way too expensive for most people, the ID7 is looking pretty decent but again is priced as a luxury vehicle. Steer by wire is awesome, I experienced it in the neighbor's Cybertruck, turnoverless steering less than 170deg total travel with electric servos feeding resistance into the wheel at extremes of turn, amazing Honda even kept the stalks, and put the gears on the right side like in Teslas. I am very impressed.
I admit it takes a lot of courage to defy conventional aesthetic. When Pontiac first showed the Aztek concept, everyone was laughing their ass off, which must have infuriated the GM bosses. So GM decided to go ahead with its production to prove the public was wrong.😂
I like the direction Honda is going, except for the rear of this car, especially viewed from the side. Definitely distinctive, but awkward. I like the dashboard display but I wonder about reflections since it is not inset in any way. Hopefully they've solved an potential issue there.

Honda, Toyota and Subaru have a running bet on who can build the worst EV that angers the most consumers. Despite a strong start by Toyota/Subaru this looks to get Honda back in the lead.
It really looks like they're doing their best to make EVs as unappealing as possible so that it doesn't kill the goose that's laying the golden eggs with their ICE vehicles.
9:30 good lord automakers please stop making everything some stupid touchscreen interface And since you refuse to listen, at least make: - the buttons in the interface way bigger - be generous with the tolerances in swipe detection, it's very easy to accidentally have your finger move a bit when ur driving and trying to touch something. EV's are fantastic. It's the battery that sux. When are we getting the next gen solid state batteries? All new EV's without a revolutionary battery is doomed to fail
Uggglllyyy!! WTF were they thinking with the rear? It's a total disaster. Who thought it would be a good idea to make the rear quarter visibility totally non existent? The rear hatch also has very limited visibility and would collect dirt in minutes, it needs a rear wiper washer badly! Imho, very disappointed. Oh, can we just have normal CRV type door handles on an EV for once?? NOBODY asked for electric door handles!
This trend of electronic door handles needs to stop. I just read a story the other day about an infant getting trapped inside a Mustang Mach-E because of a malfunction that disabled the electronic door handles. Then there are no physical controls for HVAC or Tuning and Volume knobs. And to top it all off, there is a hump in the back. Why does this EV need to have a hump when there is no drive shaft running to the back? I also don’t want a yoke. I want a normal steering wheel. All and all, I don’t like this and I am confident that I am not alone.

That rear hatch design is going to have a problem opening far enough in parking garages, maybe even with the overhead door in some home garages. Who wants to wait that long for the passenger doors to open? Why do the manufacturers feel the need to literally reinvent the wheel just because its a EV??
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video honda and acura are on the path to being green and the RSX is returning in 2026 an ev crossover GO honda 😀

However, isn't that where BMW, Mercedes and maybe Audi automatically enter into the competition? Prologue is doing so well because it looks and drives normal, none of this sci-fi stuff. And Prologue has a great price
Yeah, they seem to be trying too hard and with all this tech stuffed in, it’s looking expensive.
