Hello everyone! Todays video is my new and improved fenugreek paste recipe! My original video received wonderful feedback and has been used by creators all over the diy hair care space. The impact that the video has is crazy and I am so thankful for your feedback and support!
In my original video, however, there were safety concerns in the instructions that I gave (ie, using super hot liquids in a blender) that could lead to serious injury. So here is an updated video sharing how to SAFELY make this paste without worrying about your blender exploding!
It is likely that I will be taking down my original video because of safety concerns but I hope that this new video will replace it nicely!

I was ready to strain 3 times as I started the process. But that first strain was so messy. I thought I had to bear up and make it through 2 more but it was so smooth and actually came out perfect with one strain. Happy all the way around! 😄😄😄

I made mine today using a different video. I had not seen yours until long afterwards. My gut wanted to strain it, but I didn't because the author of that video didn't. It was truly a mess. I went outside to put it in my hair because all the little grains were falling all over my bathroom. I'm so excited to try your method. It aligns perfectly with what my gut was saying.

This is great! I just made mine for the first time, but I soaked seeds over night first. Then blended with a stick blender. I'm going to get a magic bullet type blender. I strained once with a cheese cloth, it was hard but it only required one straining. It's so creamy, but like a creamy gel. I can't wait to get it into my hair. I'm mixing some into a henna batch, and maybe using some in my DC !!!!

I have heard you can infuse the fenugreek seed in oil by either lightly toasting them in a pan on lower heat before place them in an oil of your choice for up to 4-6 wks or without toasting have them in oil in dark warm space. Wonder if there are any other ways too🧐

Tks so much for your amazing video 😊 I saw on your video of the powdered version you said the paste can be stored up to 4-6 weeks in the fridge. On your video with the seeds from last year it was up to 3 weeks and now it s 2 weeks in the fridge. Since you experiment would you say that when doing the paste with the powder it stays longer in the fridge than when doing it with the seeds? Tks so much for the clarification ☺️

Hi that’s a very good question! Since my last two fenugreek paste videos, I’ve learned more about bacterial growth in foods and natural products that don’t have preservatives:
Although I still never see or smell anything off about my fenugreek paste until it’s been in the fridge for 4-6 weeks (using both the whole seeds and powder)… but I learned that bacteria and fungus can begin breeding in it well before there are any physical signs of it…. increasing the risk of irritation and infections, which of course I don’t want to happen to anyone!
So, that is why I have shortened the storage time in the fridge to two weeks. And I should actually update that info on my other videos so thank you for reminding me!
I hope that clears things up! Much love and thanks for watching!
      🌺Vy

    Dear Lady Bloom--
I bought the ingredients for your mask and am excited to make it.
Will it work on color-treated Caucasian hair?
I've always hd a thick mane, but meds taken to treat an infection hv caused massive hair loss.
    My prayers are for you.
    Blessings,

Fenugreek does not have a user manual so there’s no “correct” way to use it. Try both and see what works best for you :)

This is a great recipe but you can save a LOT of time by just buying fenugreek powder and adding the oil of your choice etc.
