@@terrywilder9 Let me say that we cannot get Japanese Shells in Europe because it is 1.1 class (transported ban since 2017) and does not have CE. Don't forget that 16" in this video costs around €500,- euro (2021) plus extra VAT and transport, so you're at €770 euro per shell. So it's not about being able to afford it, but that we can't import it. Don't forget that there are currently companies in Italy that make better Japanese Shells than in Japan.

I'm not entirely sure, but these are pro grade, and the only way to get them legally is to get the appropriate licenses with the ATF. From there I don't know how you go about buying them. Apparently you can buy up to 8inch illegally in Cali, lots of videos of people launching 6 to 8 inch mortars on the street in front of houses. Insane.

I believed the best place to view large fireworks is close to the launch tube and directly under the exploded shell. This brings the best 3D view aspect to it.
Always love being the show coordinator and having the best views right by the tube. Not sure I would want to be within 15 feet of these shells launching off lol
@@tatestovall6040. I wouldn’t dare be around those giant tube that close. But I’d give big bucks ticket to be in the 50-100 feet of these tube at least once. ;). You must have a heck of a view being coordinator for those.
@@GaryKetchum808me too but what I have learned from my experience with pyro on a consumer level is that people know how to stretch a dollar when you are litterally burning it, especially since the people who are into this stuff aren’t made of money.

Stunning display! As a noob, on these large shells is there a rocket motor burning all the way up, or do they get that high just from an impulse burn in the tube?
Good question! There is no extra motor on these. They get to their altitude only by the lift charge (the bang in the beginning). It's like a cannon that is shooting straight up in the air.
You have to have a pyrotechnic license and these are too big for most states. Like even in Texas, these have more black powder in one shell than you can legally possess without even further licensing.
@@dje82kdjx Do you know what fireworks are made out of? Charcoal, which is trees, which is naturally burned from natures forest fires, releasing an exponential amount of smoke than any tiny firework will ever do lol.

I believed the best place to view large fireworks is close to the launch tube and directly under the exploded shell. This brings the best 3D view aspect to it.

Always love being the show coordinator and having the best views right by the tube. Not sure I would want to be within 15 feet of these shells launching off lol

Stunning display! As a noob, on these large shells is there a rocket motor burning all the way up, or do they get that high just from an impulse burn in the tube?
Good question! There is no extra motor on these. They get to their altitude only by the lift charge (the bang in the beginning). It's like a cannon that is shooting straight up in the air.
Look on internet for a shell image, the round, sticking out part at the bottom is actually the launching powder.
This makes me very happy. Like a little kid

You have to have a pyrotechnic license and these are too big for most states. Like even in Texas, these have more black powder in one shell than you can legally possess without even further licensing.
