    EJean Carroll has an unlicensed loaded gun that she bragged about having it. The DA’s office went to her home, picked it up, and is HOLDING it for her until she can get a license. WTH! Someone needs to come in and oversee this state's legal system!

(staged car wrecks, cash fines and a thinly disguised ransom.) I am starting to feel the same way about traveling in my own country. Imagine a state where Constitutional laws are counted as nothing?

      SCOTUS requires that all other avenues have been exhausted in order to review the case. That can take more than 10 years. There was another 2nd amendment case that took 16 years? Just don't have guns....

    As soon as she said that the Second Amendment didn't apply, dude had an appeal on Article 6 grounds, being the Supremacy Clause. The Second Amendment exists, because the Constitution literally says it does.

      In this case, the police used one of THEIR options to actually do the right thing.
      When a law is unconstitutional, the police are the first step to protecting the people's rights... by NOT enforcing the ILLEGAL law.
      The DA (prosecutor) is the SECOND step... and the jury is 3rd... and judge is fourth... and then the appeals court, etc.
      That is FOUR times that the system established by the Founding Fathers failed Mr. Taylor.

      EJC's case... I'd guess it was "woman privilege", rather than the political divide.
      In regards to the item that you wanted to purchase...
      The cops who showed up to enforce that, would almost certainly be cops chosen specifically because they oppose the second amendment... and they would already have a court ordering them to do certain things, so they actually have less discretion... unless they are willing to take a stand, in which case they'd just get fired and replaced with someone who would follow orders.

      You're referring to the double standards, and I get it...
      BUT...
      The police or prosecutor actually did the right thing (almost) in the Carroll case... NOT charging her, for what is clearly an illegal law.
      That's the first line of defense for our constitutional rights... the police refusing to enforce them... or the DA refusing to prosecute.
      The jury's defense doesn't come in, until AFTER the system has already FAILED TWICE.

    It's such a pity that the only way to challenge these unjust laws seems to be to get charged and pray that they'll be overthrown after years of appeals and putting one's future at such great risk. There needs to be a better way for justice to prevail.

    Under the New York State Constitution, Kathy Hochul the Governor of New York has the power to grant clemency to individuals who have been convicted of crimes under New York State law.
    Someone with contacts needs to start a petition for Dexter to submit to the Governor to grant a pardon.

    It sounds like the judge willfully and consciously denied the defendant his Constitional right of protection under the 2nd Amendment. If so, may she herself experience the inside of a prison cell for 10 years.

    I will support Dexter Taylor to the best of my ability. How do we financially support him against this diatomic judge? Her position as judge evidently means to her that she has the ability to punish the people she does not like. Constitutional law does not matter to her. How do we do our part to help him raise money for legal expenses?

    It really is as simple as: The country was founded on these rights. Then the rights were protected from the gov by a bill. Then the supreme court, over centuries , enshrined and explicated that bill/rights. Then a ‘lower’ court judge decides to completely ignore everything. Yeah thats clearly functional. 😊

    E. jean carrol had an unregistered hand gun no permit and all the police did was confiscate it should of been mandatory 1 year in prison.
