Yes, same hopes for me too. As soon as the Epic Cheese man starts making jokes, this channel will become a top 500 chess channel in my book. I mean it already made me a future Grandmaster, so I’m ready to have a chuckle. A chess chuckle.
Reminds me of the Joke Club, where everybody knows all the jokes by their number. Meeting each Saturday. Someone says, "376", everybody laughs. "538"; again laughter and knee slapping. "15"; one guy can't stop laughing, he almost chokes to death. His neighbour: "hey, it's such a stale joke". The guy answers gasping for breath, "yeah but I never heard it before"

Funniest thing is that Firouza took 2 minutes 25 seconds to think and still didn't see it. I mean if a super GM is giving you a free rook then there must be something. I can't even say Firouza played like me because I wouldn't have taken the rook just out of sheer fear of playing fabi🤣 (even if i didn't see the line...which I obviously wouldn't have🤷♂).
I would have taken the rook, because I have the same chance of beating Fabi in an equal position as I do on the wrong end of an opening trap. I might as well hope that this was the one time Fabi would actually make such an egregious blunder.

Alireza's strength is also his weakness in this case. He has no respect for Super GM players (even before he was one himself) and if he doesn't see the counter, he's going to attack.
It's gonna be another 100 years before anyone falls for that trap again.
This was already a known opening trap 😂 I’m sure people will continue to occasionally fall into it

I just randomly clicked on the live stream on Magnus' channel earlier today and it was this, literally about 2 minutes before Alireza took the rook, and the guys were joking about it, and showing the lines.
And I knew almost immediately that something special was about to happen, I just had _that_ feeling, and he bloody did it! 🤣
