I have only used foam board one time to make a poster with my sister. For my boyfriend's funeral in 2007. We got glued on Fall faux leaves and photos of him playing basketball with his team and photos of him caring for a ill duck on the farm, etc. it was large but light to hang.
All your creations are beautiful. Many years ago a woman at church made me a board such as you did with the twine and clothespins. She called it her memory board. With her cricket she cut out of viynal a Bible verse and has that in the middle. I have photos of my Mom and family all around the sides. I have no clue what she used inside the fabric. I have been working on a crafting/sewing area lately and I was just thinking the other day how I would like to make another memory board to tack down with drawings ideas I have for my jewerly making or sewing ideas etc.....But I did not know where to begin. I do now and infact....I already have a beautiful white and blue floral pattern contact paper. I ordered it from Amazon to cover the back inside of an old bookcase that is damaged. I was just getting ready to take a nap when I rec'd the alert to this video. Sure glad I watched it.
Also, I tried drawing a mason jar once and one side came out perfect the other side was wonky. I think you drew an awesome one and I love that. My Mom passed away 3 years ago this coming July. Her favorite flower was the black eyed Susan. I would love to make one of these and find pretty faux black eyed Susans to add to this artwork. Your talents are amazing.
