Capacitor Failure: Galaxy 16" Oscillating Fan

- This Galaxy 16" oscillating fan was running slower than expected. The motor sounded off. The power usage wasn't correct. All factors pointed to a spoiled capacitor.
Upon opening it up, I was surprised to see it had one of these notoriously-abysmal orange capacitors that are very prone to drifting. Measuring the microfarads of the capacitor confirmed it was spoiled, producing only about half of the rated capacitance it should be.
I have ordered a replacement capacitor, which should resolve the issues with this fan.
Glad you found that out early Bro so you can get a new capacitor can’t wait to see the part 2 soon Hopefully you will upload it next I enjoyed the video
Glad you enjoyed it bro.
I can't wait to see more videos of this Galaxy Table fan coming soon such as new capacitor in order to solve the problem good video bro
Thanks
I have this exact fan in mint condition and the capacitor is still good. Hopefully once you get a new one, it’ll run faster and up to speed.
Thanks for letting me know.
I still have mine and only use it once in a while. It’s too nice of a fan to get dirty. LOL
Airqueen make the clip for the 9 inch fan I miss good old days when stuff was made to last decades not months or years
What about the clip?
Nice fan wish my old 80s I16 comfort air fan was that nice looking I run it every night unfortunately it’s in bad cosmetic shape brittle and rusty blade is rusted to the shaft but it runs really smooth can’t complain for 10 bucks
Thanks
To me a 16 inch table fan is just to big, like sure it can clear a table of loose objects but its just kinda odd
They have a large footprint, but there's definitely areas they fit in.
I agree, 12" is the best size in my opinion
9:45 What brand are these capacitors?
I'm not sure.
I actually own one of these but none of the buttons work besides high and even then you have to hold it
Thanks for letting me know.
hey jordan, do you think it would be better to try to get a 12in galaxy table fan or a new one.
I don't understand what you're asking.
@@JordanU nevermind this, I was asking if I should get a new fan or a galaxy fan, but i ended up getting a Galaxy 2150.
I. Like it
OK
OK
What do you think of all r22 That's what my AC unit is
Liquid gold ( or gaseous gold under certain conditions)
I don't understand what you're asking.
