Brought back some good memories of pre-Covid times, when I had clients to meet with in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. They have quite a few start ups there now.

OMG, Tom if you could see me break into giggles over your jokes and visual antics between segments! You just bring such joy with your silliness! Thank you for another great educational video. It’s a strange coincidence that you mentioned catching pneumonia at the very end because right now I am in bed with pneumonia!!! I’m on powerful antibiotics, taking a week off work and resting, but it’s been kind of scary. I love that you reference classics such as Hitchcock movies. I hope your viewers take your suggestions and watch them. I didn’t know the USS Arizona was constructed there. I saw the memorial a couple of years ago in Pearl Harbor. Have you been there? I had no idea until I experienced it that it is literally a constructed shrine directly over the sunken ship. To imagine those young men dying like that is just horrific. Your kitty is adorable, what is his/her name? You should have her sit with you when you do your dusty bookshelf videos.❤❤

The Navy Yard's Google Street View coverage was done by an artist called Loosii Ninjas, who put in levitating umbrellas, coveralls doing poses with no humans in them, and other little easter eggs. You can check it out and explore the Navy Yard at the same time!

The USS New York (BB-11) and the USS Arizona (BB-39) were constructed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

I've been here several times. The last time was on USCGC Dallas. We were still homeported on Governors Island at the time, it was just before we relocated to Charleston South Carolina. It's actually where I met my wife. I enjoy your shows, thanks for doing them.
I lived in Brooklyn New York when I was younger but have since retired and moved to Sunny El Paso Texas . I see that cold and cloudy New York weather behind you and I don't miss it but I do miss the great Italian food 🇮🇹😘👌
I grew up in Fort Greene on Park Ave right by the Navy Yard. Caught the bus to school and work on Flushing ave for years.
Another informative & entertaining session. The domestic base closures were likely terminated due to the influence of Congressional members, who didn’t want to lose the benefits of having based in their districts. So much for our ‘peace dividend,’ eh?

Your cat's adorable but you never mentioned it's name:-)😻I actually have one that looks a lot like it named Tizzy, only mine has more gold on it, yours, being white and black, is very rare for a tabby. The irony is I didn't have a cat a few months ago but Walmart mistakenly delivered $50 worth of cat food to me. So I called them to inform them of their error and they told me to keep it. Then right after that Tizzy showed up skin and bones and then the food almost seemed meant to be, heaven sent. So now I have a cat too. lol You are so knowledgeable about NYC and I enjoy your show. You should write a pictorial book on the history of the city, throw a few jokes in the mix. I think you would do very well with it:-) 💫🧚✨
