I made my own "slap" (satin lined cap). I sewed a bonnet into a knit cap. Perfect to protect my curls.
I live in the North of Brazil, and here we have two seasons: Dry&Hot and Rain&Hot lol

I’m from the Middle East specifically from Kuwait so we don’t have curly hair products with good ingredients & I’d like to try them.

I'd love to try these products. I had to big chop my waist length dreads when I developed an autoimmune disease, and my hair fell out. Now I'm still learning how to handle my curls. You've been an awesome guide!

How can you not have more subscribers. I have been watching you for years and following your advice and my hair has flourished. I started my natural hair routine when I was 12 and now my hair is healthier than it's ever been. What really helped me was cutting off my dead ends and deep conditioning along with moisturizing products. I have 3b hair butt length, medium density. I cant thank you enough. 💛
I'm a fellow Californian and would live to try your winter routine. I have been natural for 3 months & I tend to have problems with frizz at the crown of my head.

I have high porosity hair but it responds well to occasional argon oil use. Mainly I just put it on shortly before it's completely dry after a wash day, to help lock in moisture. In-between washes if I need some extra moisture, I just use some homemade leave-in conditioner (just water mixed with regular conditioner lol). I also found that putting my hair in a loose layered pony-tail helps retain hydration and moisture and protects the ends better from hair tie damage. I also use my argon oil as a carrier oil for when I use tea tree on my scalp to control dandruff and itchiness.
I live in Alabama where mother nature is bi polar but the humidity is her mood swings which is hard to predict
As I’m sitting here freezing under my 2 throws lol. My winter hair care tip is to cover your hair in extreme temperatures/weather. I usually wear a satin scarf or bonnet under a hat to protect my hair from the elements. Seems pretty basic but thought I would share.

I've been watching you for years now and you were the one who helped me know more about my curly hair, helped me do my big chop (which was 3), and learn that my curly hair is beautiful. Now, I wouldn't trade my curly hair for anything. I would love to try these products because I want to try new things. Hopefully I win. Love you lots Bianca.
For the winter I try to alternate weeks of shampooing and co-washing. I also use a little oil after my leave-in and a little oil after the gel, my hair lasts longer with that little extra.
I totally prefer a gel over cream any day. Gel gives me that hold and hard cast that I’m looking for
LCO does make more sense because most creams have water in them that needs to be on the hair before the oil so that it can actually be absorbed.
I live in NYC and winter is the hardest time for me since becoming natural. I go to work at 6am and refreshing at that time In the cold is a nightmare ... I would love to try this products and see what a difference it came have in my routine ☺️

I prefer using a gel because I LOVE having maximum hold! I need my wash day to last all week :) However my favorite combination is using a cream to moisturize define my curls and a gel to hold them in place!

I use a form of lco or as i call it lcg
1) go in with a leave in conditioner.

3) a water based gel glycerin free

Coastal Texas - the very definition of heat and humidity. Even when the temp drops, we still have humidity. I really hope more companies get on the no glycerin bandwagon as it seems like such a popular ingredient.
Here in Washington "Seattle"... We got Fall, Colder Fall, Spring and a Warmer Spring. Every now and then we will actually get all 4 seasons... Some times.
I would like to try any new product just big chopped in October.
I think I would love the gel product just because I love a gel that leaves a crunchy cast... that’s where I get my most defined curls!
Transition-er here. So far I've found I like gels better than creams. My curls tend to flatten on their own, but gels actually give a decent hold, even after diffusing.
Just when I thought I figured out a routine, winter (pretty much) got here and NOTHING's working :'(. I was wondering why, but looks like ALL of my products have glycerin lol!

Also running a humidifier often is Key🔑 to everything in the winter! Helps with dry lips to dry hair (along with all the other good things you do for your hair 🙂).

I absolutely love your channel! Coming to the curly game late, 3 years ago, your videos have been a complete God send. I live in Kentucky and the weather is amiss, daily, one day my curls look amazing and the next the look a flat/hot mess.
I live in a hot place as well. Sometimes we will get a cold front, (high 70's) and that usually happens around December. But I love gels as well because they hold my curls together better than just using a cream.
Where I live Is hot today, cold tomorrow, so this product will be a life saver for me 😅
I preferí to use both: gel and cream. I live I. A very humid area, so locking in the moisture is very important
Weekly washes and deep conditioning is really helping my hair. I have noticed a change in my hair from summer to winter and I would love to try these products to see how they would work in my 4b/4c hair

Where I am from we have 2 types of winters one can say,, sometimes its wet winter when it's foggy and cold at the same time. Sometimes it's dry.

On tip that I have learned this winter is to watch the weather! If it’s super cold the week and I am busy I will protective style to keep my hair up and moisturized. Then when it gets warmer later in the week I let my hair out! Watching the weather and matching it up with my hair routine has helped a ton so far!
I live on the Gulf Coast so we share the same type of weather. It is 70 degrees today and humid. I am always looking for glycerin free products since it is humid here most of the time. TreLuxe sounds like they would do the trick. I usually combo a cream then a gel. My hair is kind of dry so that seems to work best for me. If I am going product light then just a cream. You look great as always. Lovin' your videos.
I would love to try these products. We don’t get East Coast cold here in Vegas but we definitely need extra moisture in the winter to combat the cold desert air. It’s a constant struggle especially since the water is hard.

I really need a new winter routine here in Minnesota. I have been struggling with my hair already this season, and, we have a long way to go before winter is over! I watch all your videos, by the way.
If I could only choose one-cream! I usually use both 😊 I have dry hair. I also don’t get “no glycerin” in the winter. We have humidity all year round in Indiana. I actually USE glycerin in the winter and not in the summer.
I like both gels and creams but I do prefer creams 😍 I love your curls btw they’re breathtaking 😍🥰
I wanna try these products cuz I’m new to the natural community and it’s hard out here (-40 weather) and I haven’t found a product that works for the harsh weather so it would be an experiment as well as give me a better understanding of how my hair reacts to certain ingredients. Not to mention becoming better at finding the right products to use during this time of year 💜

You know that I paid close attention to this because Connecticut stays cold as icicles!!! I think for me I like to apply a moisturizing leave in and then a cream that’s thicker than the leave in. I too it of with a gel and usually it works great!!! I have to say I love glycerin but I’m gonna stay away for a while... I definitely need to try thus line!!! I know you’ve been raving about for years but that gel really caught my eye. I wanna look as bomb as you this winter!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to try these products 1) because you recommend them and I love the way your hair comes out when you use them and 2) I know they are good quality products. I haven’t found my go to styler yet and the cost of buying so many add up. I love gels but I would love to try the cream because of the marshmallow root in it! I’ve never tried a product with that ingredient, but I’ve heard really good things about it!
I found the most amazing aloe hydrating gel and I mix it with a little holding gel. Best combination I’ve ever come across. And as long as I touch up only the ends and leave my scalp dry- it still a great routine for these Manhattan winter months 🥶❄️☃️💙
I honestly like both, cream and gels. Cream gives it some moisture and gel helps with hold. I'd like to try them because I'm trying to create a hair routine for winter but I'm not sure what products to get 😭
This summer I finally learned how how to take care of my hair, thanks to you, Penny, and a couple more curl friends. However, there are days, like today where my hair is a birds best. I have bad tangles . Sometimes when I'm too busy for work I do not do a good job at taking care of the curls. I would love to try these products and see how it can help ke with my hair routine!

As soon as our temperature started dropping below freezing (I'm in southern ontario canada) I got so many DMs from curly friends and family asking what to do about their frizz and I said DEEP CONDITION once a week and get the glycerin out (or further down on the ingredient list) lol Thanks for all the tips!!
Hello! I just started my curly hair journey and just deep conditioned my hair this week. I must say, wow! The difference. My family noticed right away so thank you for all your help! I binged watched a lot of your videos and trying to get some of the products you have mentioned. I am still trying to decide on the girl talk mouse or try this gel. But honestly thank you so much for all you do to help us curly hair peeps out!

Within this year I’ve just started learning about taking care of my curls better. Only using Garner Fructis comditoner. When I get out of the shower I used to use the garnier fructis scrunch gel. Now I’ve been using Monat Magnifying mousse. I need to try out more curly hair products to see what’s best for me.
OMG! I live in Costa Rica. We have dry season and Rainy season,mlm, and my curls get to frizz in rainy season, I don't know if the "moisture" in the air is the problem. Thanks so much for you videos.

I haven’t tried this brand, very informative video thank you. I have faced the facts my hair is temperamental and does what it wants! I can’t use products long-term because my hair gets sick of it. So every few months I switch up my products, thanks for making it easier for me to find natural products for my hair.
I prefer gels because like you said i know it’s going to give me a good hard crunchy cast and I know it will last me thru 5-6 day hair ❤️

I live in FL but the weather is crazy here! It’ll be all 4 seasons in one week. I’ve bee struggling with a lot of frizz on my hair, but my husband says it’s natural. However, I feel like my frizz is out of control and I don’t know what to do with my hair. Thank you so much for making this video for us. I have learned so much from you and still learning. Just started my curly hair journey and so far cream seem to be the way to go for soft curls but can’t hold those ringlets without some gel! I’m from Kansas and here the weather is 70 one day and -32 the next.

I’m in Northern Ca and it’s really cold. My hair is dry and frizzy and only is frizz free when it’s wet. I’m going to try a heavier cream today to see if it makes a difference. Otherwise I have some nice hats and I’ll go undercover til spring.
These are really great tips!! I live in NJ and its colddd!! I already noticed dryness in the back of my hair 😭 I'm not going to lie, with school I've only been deep conditioning every two weeks. I definitely need to do it today. I definitely use a lottttt of water when I refresh. I don't mean to, I just get a little water happy 🙈 Thanks for sharing!!
