How do we break through the sheer mass of disinformation directed towards the general population? Am I wrong in supposing that we just have to keep arguing our position until the circumstances that eventually, incontrovertibly arise, will persuade people to adopt beneficial solutions to our problems? Or are our cognitive limitations and the practical problems of our everyday lives a permanent block to solving the problems we face?

So what Hume pointed out regarding causality had no real implications on the metaphysical status of causality as it's to say causality is an illussion, but ratherly on our own ignorance of our own cognitive systems.
