Lovely place to visits glad you're all on the mend now. Those old prisons are fascinating to visit. It reminded us of Shrewsbury! They have some amazing stories of past inmates and crimes they were punished for. Lovely views. Again, glad you're on the mend. Cheers 🍻

when i was a lad we had rowing boats on the lake and a miniature steam railway where you parked , to locals its pronounced bootum park , I didnt see you there yesterday -)
Ah ok! No we only stayed one night last week we don’t like to hang around free places and outstay our welcome ☺️

Very cool! Those doors are mind-blowing! No comforts back in the day. The Magna Carta - great piece of history! On one hand it gave women who inherited property rights but on the other hand, a woman's testimony in court was valued less, thus no one could be arrested/imprisoned on her testimony. So even though it could be seen a step forward for women's rights, it also continued a women's lesser value. Good Ole King John, those barons really did ruffle his feathers but the pope had different ideas. Lol Many of the rights the courts protect today, go back centuries. Good Ole Magna Carta started the ball rolling. Only 4 original copies survived time! Two in the British library...one was badly damaged in a fire, then there's copy in Salisbury cathedral and of course Lincoln castle. 😊 The women's wing was definitely smaller and lighter. Wow that view!! It's just awesome!😊 Brilliant park up!! Boo in his element lol Yay all booked, how exciting 😊 You will be counting the sleeps before you know it lol.
