The contacts cut through the soldermask of the board and into the PCB traces underneath. Not a good design of the unit. If it was me, I would add a thin layer of lacquer back over the traces to protect them before reassembly.
I got uni t 202, working 12 years
Nice
How is the device now, is everything still working normally? I bought the same, but watching your video I wonder if I'm not mixing up my choice.
This video clip is a bit misleading: You only need to un-screw 3 (THREE) black screws to take out the PCB. NOTE: These 3 screws hold the PBC and another 2 black screws which hold the clamp need NOT to be un-screwed. Also note that the 3 silver screws which hold the LCD need NOT to be un-screwed for contacts cleaning of the selector switch. (Contacts of the switch go dirty after some use and the meter doesn't boot-up because of that.)
@ kaiwity singh. Why should the display screws NOT be unscrewed, and why will the display contacts get dirty?. Isn't the display installed the same way at the factory as we install it back after cleaning its contacts?.
@@user-zk3ob7si2t The contacts I mean are the contacts (to be cleaned) of the selector-switch only which goes dirty after some use. So for that you don't need to open all the screws as said in this clip.
