St. Anger in general is underrated. It's something different than Metallica usually plays, but it has it's own vibe and I like it

EgocentricHead Drop C on some songs, like L'enfant Sauvage. Drop C is anyways very close to Standard D

Im sorry Jamie my floyd rose prevents me from tuning anything keeps me in E Standard tuning.
Block the bridge and you can drop your tuning
You can set up a floyd for Drop C. I’m doing it this week

@@heyiliketurtles2259 the cheap and easy way to do it is to put a wood block or something strong enough behind the block of the tremolo( for better stability I also recommend doing it for the front of the trem as well) then just tune your guitar to what you want, if you have spare 50 to 60 bucks laying around look for a tremol-no system. It's more professional way of doing it but more expensive

I became a better guitarist by discovering the magic of Drop C and spending a whole summer trying to learn KSE, August Burns Red, God Forbid, Shadow's Fall, As I lay Dying and so many more when I was a teenager. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!

I'm a bit suspicious when it comes to KSE. Everytime I have a new favorite riff. Now it is the pre-chorus for Beyond Flames. Those guitarists are god level heavy riff machines!
When I started guitar I never use E standard because most of the bands I listened to during that time played in drop D - Drop A
Once I got into classic metal I was shit of playing power chords fast since all I learned were generic metal core riffs

yeah exactly! using one finger for drop tuning makes it hard when you go back to standard tuning
Here's a tuning you should use, tune the low E string to A, but leave the other strings in their E standard configuration. See if you can write a riff in that tuning!
Is that the octave tuning that bands like architects and within the ruins use
Jamie Slays Actually, the tuning Architects use is a 1½ tones lower than that. Slipknot also used this tuning for 'Scissors'.

Contagion should be in the c standard riffs. I’ve seen people’s opinion on whether it’s Drop C or C standard. It’s C standard, because after they played widowmaker (which is in C standard), this song played almost immediately afterwards. Also would’ve liked to see some shadows fall ‘Thoughts without words’
Drop c boyyyyy the first album is all in drop c but yeh you can play it in c standard if you like

You are just sick. I've been playing standard tuning for some time now and always wanted to do drop tuning but never stuck with it. Finally setup my main guitar with some 10 52s and dropped to drop d flat or c sharp whatever you wanna call it. I love how full and bad ass it sounds now but I feel like I'm starting all over again with learning scales and songs. I know the scales can be re figured but that's still time. I can't wait to get a few songs down and just be able to jam out for a few minutes.
History by FFAF is in Drop C, maybe Drop C#, I don't remember exactly. That riff is tremendous. Good list none the less though!

Solid band by any standard. I only ever use drop c for stoner riffs. Sometimes standard c too. Forgot frantic was drop c. Underrated song to be honest. Ironically lars pushes his drumming to his limitations but fucked the sound up.
I'm not an Atreyu fan, but that riff always get stuck in my head!
