Thank you very much, I've been enjoying kicking out more projects this year. The past year I've really enjoyed working with DCF both thin and thick. I might put together some DCF videos (some no sew, some with sewing, and some combining adhesive and sewing) Have a great day :-)
If one doesn't have your special tool for threading the shock cord, just put large safety pin through the end of the cord and use the safety pin to guide the cord through the channel.
Haha. Ironically, I started making my own raincoats after one I bought wet through and got water all inside my backpack. And it was sold as a waterproof raincoat ;-)
Could not remember the word "cordlock" to save my life... "shock cord thingy" or "pull stop",,, LOL I have the footage for several other DiY video's already filmed in post. Making a Costco down throw top quilt, making a Costco down throw under quilt (fully adjustable like HG), dehydrating a dozen different veggies and dehydrating chicken meat for backpacking meals to save money. More to come...
@@kimcowan5482 haha. Yeah that was the measuring process with excess with iverwrap top and bottom. Funny when you listen to just that part out of context, lol. I'm trying to get my pack lighter and smaller, a 4 foot backpack makes my knees and back faint, haha...
@@Hangs4Fun Just got back from a 3 day backpacking trip. I really need to figure out how to reduce my pack weight. But yes, even a "normal" size pack looks huge on me. It's pretty funny.
Thanks for your easy to follow, and entertaining tutorial!
Thank you for your kind words.
Have a great day :-)
Love the video, thank you😊
Just found your vids. You have a new sub. Love the descender rings you most likely used for your suspension!!!
Yep, I love descender rings for quick attachment, adjustment, and removal after use. Good eye ;-)
Making one of these this weekend, thank you
Good luck, let me know how it goes
Very nice thank you so much.. Good idea..
Very good Video, thank you very much!

btw, your channel name isn't because you were in the Fox Patrol for Wood Badge was it? I am too in that regard.
Have a great day.
@@Hangs4Fun Oh no my last name is Fuchs, german for Fox 😊 But i enjoy videos like yours very much! Greetings from Switzerland 🤗

Yes, exactly. (Though I got mine for $3.99 from Walmart and use it all the time).
I've seen people use pieces of solid copper from Romex too
Did you add 6" on all sides or 3" per side?
A waterproof raincover, it better be 😅

@Jaxton Jase happy to help =)
You indicate that your backpack is 4 ft long. That's one long backpack!
I did? What time was that at about?
I probably was talking about circumference?
@@Hangs4Fun 3:59. It just made me giggle because I'm 5' tall and I just imagined one monster backpack that was almost as tall as me. :)

@@kimcowan5482 also, I'm trying to visualize your 5 foot self wearing a 4 foot backpack.
