I’m a big fan of both pair, so exciting to see their games!!! Congrats to Higashino and Watanabe! So glad to see Higashino again, and so glad Wang Yilv and Huang Dongping made it to the finals! Looking forward to their match too!
Arisa’s defence has really improved… as someone who was very critical of her defence, props to her for working hard on it.

Amazing Semi-Final between them and good luck to Watanabe/Higashino in the final! Zheng/Huang weren't their usual selves today but the japanese pair still had to play well to beat them. Always exciting to watch them face eachother and looking forward to their next encounter!

This is a masterclass!!! Coaches should use this match to show other double partners how you should play one double match.
The variation and deception of Watanabe's tight drops and mid-court pushes are devastating. So hard not to be deceived by is arm action. His brilliant mixed technique creates so many opportunities for Higashino.
Watanabe and higashino are really fun to watch great athletics surprising drop shots. But Huang and Zheng are consistency Monstern. No wonder they won so many Titels

Does Zheng Si Wei have anything to offer beyond his power smashes? Look at Zheng Si Wei's shots, and look at Watanabe's shots. Despite his weaker smashes, Watanabe is so much more versatile, incorporating so many deceptions in his style. Zheng Si Wei? Power smash, power smash, power smash. Watanabe is so much more interesting to watch.
A very well deserved win for Watanabe/Higashino.
Speed and skills, you can have both theoretically, but can't do it well in a single match. Both players were using the best of their techniques to win the game.
Zheng was out of energy today, no stamina to catch up the shuttlecock, unable to anticipate as he used to, then Watanabe can use his trademark drop. Zheng/Huang are also human, tired sometimes

Zheng's smashes are more about angles and usually aimed towards the awkward position of his opponents to return (right hip, shoulder etc.). And his smashes usually set up Huang to intercept in the next 2-3 shots.
