I stripped the drain plug while doing an oil change on my F30!!!

That’s “rounded” not stripped… get a new drain plug next time you do an oil change.

You should buy your oil and filter from FCP Euro. Specifically Liqui Moly which is made for European cars and Mann oil filters which are the same ones they use from factory. Best thing, FCP has lifetime replacement on the oil and filter.
