I was there in Troy, MI (Livernois Road) long back in 2008 for a short trip for 15 days. The houses and neighbourhood has not changed . Its almost the same - beautiful, lots of greenery everywhere . I loved this small town. During falls it becomes even more beautiful. Thanks for posting this video.

There already are tons of people that post nothing but the bad areas. You can easily search those. It's those videos why people think Michigan is all bad even though it is a beautiful and resilient state full of people that have really kept going after the fall of the automotive industries as well as the race riots of the 60s that destroyed the city. Michigan has overcome MUCH and should be celebrated as they never give up and are constantly working hard to create beautiful communities with the little they have.

Am reading The Virgin Suicides and viewed this for some context. The comments are helping with the context, too (separation of Detroit from Troy; I lived in Chicago and hated it when people from the 'burbs said they were from Chicago). The narration, though, is a bit annoying. Sorry, but don't want to know why you bought your shoes, or just the pollyannish comments about Troy without any negatives (other than the weather, which just comes with the territory). Make it more interesting. Racial makeup? House values? Throw me a bone.

Well, when it's some bitch's music video, yes, it's super annoying, but this with the film maker singing for one second and then keeping the natural sound for the rest of the video? No problem.
