No Sam does not have a monopoly on redemption but the difference is that unlike Liz and Franco she EARNED hers! It wasn't rationalized with a tumor or whitewashed as a desperate act of love. She had to find her own self respect and work for the trust, respect, and forgiveness of others. It really is a shame they made Roger into Franco of all people. Liz needs to focus on her kids and stop encouraging Jake's skewed perceptions. Love that Jason is finally getting a fricken clue. Took him long enough. I just want this story to branch into something less petty than Sam won Jason and Liz is a kicked puppy. Let Jasam have their love story and let Liz find a modicum of self worth.

Franco has never actually shown the slightest bit of remorse for the things he did. And Liz's guilt is all for show! Sam genuinely regretted her mistakes. She owned up to them and admitted she was wrong (and not just to the guy she was trying to sleep with at the time either) She was humiliated, beaten, kidnapped, run over, lost her job...everyone in town took a stab at her every chance they got for the better part of a year. And then she slowly put herself back together. She went on a major apology tour. She broke her spine bending over backwards trying to make amends. And here is the most important part SHE HASNT DONE ANYTHING LIKE IT SINCE!!!!
+TheCjma88 Exactly! The fact that they're trying to make her feel petty & pressure her into letting bygones be bygones because she "won" is beyond annoying. It's not like she knew a game was being played, she wasn't a knowing participant. Like what the hell? This is all Liz doing. She doesn't want to face the full brunt of the ridicule and be reminded of what trash she is. She wasn't even truthful about the whole thing, she was caught. Had Sam not clued in on it, she would've never told the truth. Had she told the truth herself then maybe I could see where they're coming from with the moving on thing but no. She's made it clear she isn't remorseful in the least bit so screw her. She kept a man away from his wife & son to fulfill a fantasy and hasn't even apologized to Sam or Danny for doing so. All she's done is tried to deflect and play the victim. "You won!" "You've ruined my life! What more do you want?" How bout a fucking apology?! Why should she ease up on someone who played God with her life & aren't sorry that they did? Franco really has some nerve. Tumor or not, he still did those things to her. He terrorized them for 2 whole yrs and expects her to wanna be friends or cordial because his brain tumor made him do those things? Sorry that's not how it works. Those were traumatic times for both Jason & Sam, who gives a shit about an illness making he do those things? That's not gonna stop them from visualizing what he did to them everytime they see him. If Sam decides to forgive him then fine but he can't make her do it.
+TheCjma88 so true I agree with you and also if you remember when Liz slept with Nik and she saw Sam at Kelly's she asked her how did she do it how did she get Jason to forgive her and Sam told her and remember Liz didn't want to hear it and she left...I'm like girl she just told you r u crazy or something...I knew then that Liz needed to be admitted into Ferncliff...
That's another major difference. When Sam apologizes she actually means it. It's not some temporary moment of clarity that she goes back to trying to justify the next day. She admits when she's wrong. She admits it was wrong no matter what her reasons were. Liz has needed mental help for a very long time from what I can see.
Franco needs to understand that Sam and Michael will ever want to be friends with him. Tumor or not what Franco has done to them is beyond redemption. That's people's freedom being stripped from them. And I really want Jason to remember even the smallest he can about what Franco did to Sam and Michael.
The worst thing is he didn't try to redeem himself at all. To me it seems he thought the moment the tumor was removed all the pain he caused was wiped from everyone's memory. He did nothing to show remorse. And now he acts offended when Jason and Sam want nothing to do with him.
merbear90 that why he (Franco)and Liz belong together they do not have any remorse and they do not apologize for their actions and blame everyone else.
Franco said he never did anything to Liz did he hell did she forget he kidnapped aiden and tried to keep him as his own.

I realize Jason doesn't want Jake to think bad of his mother, but they could come up with a better way to explain the break-up than it being "grown up stuff." Especially since when Jason's not around Elizabeth isn't shy about trying to blame Sam for Jason leaving her.
exactly my point and that is why that little boy name Jake hates Sam so much because of his mommy...So sad and here it is Danny only wants to get to know his big brother I loved when he brought him a car to the hospital...
I don't get how everyone still jumps on the poor Liz train. Sam lost Jason, I get Liz and Jason have a son, but it was Jason and Sam who were together with Danny. Their son. Why don't they matter as much as everyone seems to think Liz and Jake do?
What noticed about Jason is as soon as Jason got away from Liz and her pact of lies and manipulation he began to have memories of his life.
You know what for scenes like these it takes the old Lulu to tell Liz off...man I loved it when Lulu blasted her for sleeping with brothers...
I know she was so great. Lucky was great too. Dont mess with the Spencers. Carly Lucky Lulu and of course Luke.

I'm sorry but when Jake said, "you should hang it up in the room where you and mom sleep" was beyond creepy. Most kids do not want to think about their parents "sleeping" together.
I thought that was creepy too. Most kids would say "hang it up in your room".
+Micky Lewis I'm glad I"m not the only one who thought that. That really creeped me out, I know he was trying to imply he thought his Dad was there to stay but he could have found a better way to say that.
why is jake so attached to jason he didn't even really raise him he saw him once in awhile when he was small kid. lucky is the one that raise him one he was small. yes he his father but I think he extremely attached to him because helena told him to be.
I don't know if it's about Helena so much as it is about presence. He was only three when "died" (almost four but still) I doubt he remembers any of the time he spent with Lucky. All he knows about Lucky is that he got him off that island and then dropped him off at Lizzie's doorstep. Jason is the one that has been there ever since he came back so that's who he would form an attachment to. Especially with Liz fueling that attachment to Jason from all her boys (before Jake knew the truth) and even more so with Jake specifically after. As a toddler Lucky was the only father he knew, but now the roles have been reversed. If Lucky had stuck around I think he would have been attached to both men but only one of them is present so all Jakes daddy eggs are currently in one basket.
It's the only way to keep Jason in Liz's orbit. That was the entire reason for the resurrection from the dead.
Omg Lizzard is delusional. She actually thought Jason was going to have a memory of her. Jason and Sam have been together since 2004 i think.... ( minus the two 6-7 months with Liz). Lizzard thinks she's the love of Jason's life ....funny. Lucky felt that way about her, but she didnt want him. She wanted Nicholas. The Spencers and Carly are brillant at telling her off. Check out Lulu and Lucky giving it to her good in 2009.
I actually like Franco, not with Lizzard though
