How The Tower of Inevitable Failure Took Me 3 Years to Beat as My First SOUL-CRUSHING Tower (JToH)

- Tower of Inevitable Failure is an insane tower and the secondary soul-crushing tower in Zone 4. In June of 2021, I decided that I was going to beat this as my first soul-crushing tower, but I wouldn't actually beat it until June 30, 2024. This video describes my experiences with this tower, the progress I have made, and how different events affected my level of motivation.
Of course, this is not a remarkable achievement by any means, but it was a very long journey for me, so I decided to share my experience.
In my opinion, this is a really good tower. I don't think I would have kept playing this tower continuously if it wasn't so fun, and, overall, I really enjoyed it.

Well, ToTL took me 1.5 years. After that, I exploded in skill level by having 321 towers down my belt. Ik it ain't much compared to like Horrific victors and T17 victors. But moments like these truly pays off regardless of how long it took.
I haven’t completely watched the video yet but I wanted to applaud you for completing this tower. I find this tower, as well as the trilogy, super iconic with their names and designs around a death ball. My first SC was ToDC, but after that tower I immediately knew I wanted to do ToIF. It took a lot of time and a lot of patience, and in the beginning I ended up failing a crap ton. It is easily these moments where you feel like there’s no point in trying to complete a tower, but I found that if you can really push yourself to practice you will eventually succeed. When I beat ToDC I had practically quit JToH, but I came back years later this March to attempt more SC’s and I ended up beating about 5 in just a couple of days. Now I’m back and working harder than ever, and I say this all to prove that anyone can do anything despite the failures and responsibilities we have. Great job, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.

Great job on your first soul crushing tower! Though, I have to admit jumping from ToES to this was a terrible idea, but what's important is that you somehow still prevailed. Even if this is nowhere near being the hardest obby, doing something like this is still really impressive, but sadly as time went on most people stopped caring about lower end soul crushing victors.
As someone who has beaten a couple of catastrophics, I gotta say we have to start praising these wins again, even if it isn't very significant to some people. We all once were in a time where we aren't very good at the game, so we have to appreciate how far we've gone and congratulate those who are still trying to improve, and push their limits. Doesn't matter if it took them a day or in this case 3 years, it doesn't mean the achievement is less impressive, it simply means they learned at their own pace. Don't feel bad about the people who are trying to dictate how high your skill level is based on how long it took you to beat this, either they're jealous or they are trying to inflate their ego to make themselves feel better. Give yourself a well deserved break, and have a great rest of your day! :D

I personally think completions like these are more impressive than just doing harder towers in a short amount of time. It just shows how dedicated you were to beat it, even with all the demotivating fails and other stuff, while a completion which takes a short amount of time feels pretty much just like "yeah i can do that". Very GG, the failure was inevitable radical video.

Massive GG's! Spending 3 years on a tower shows how much dedication you have! And the fact that you edited an almost an hour long video is crazy! That must've taken a while. I was planning to do Tower of Inevitable Failure as a first SC for a few days, and seeing how consistent you got, going from barely being able to get past floor 1 to beating the tower, gave me the motivation I needed, anyway massive GG!
I attempted ToDC as my first soul-crushing 3 years ago, I grinded it for about a year then took a break from JToH, I came back in April for the event and decided to attempt ToDC again, it only took me a few weeks and afterwards I beat ToTL, ToHA, ToDT and TT all under a month of grinding! ❤
My first sc was ToMB and I literally broke my headphones after failing the zigzag wrap on floor 10 and had to quit roblox for 1.5 months. After I came back I managed to actually complete it (first time I played JToH in like summer 2020, but I couldn’t even beat ToH, my real grind started in may 2021 on my new account). I didn’t really play in 2022 and the first half of 2023 so it took me “3-4 years” to beat my first sc, however I’ve tried different soul crushings before chosing ToMB.
this is crazy, that is some actual dedication, and sometimes i say stuff like "THAT TOOK 3 YEARS" as a joke and the fact it actually did for you is insane, GG.

Congrats on ToIF! Best of luck on harder towers, especially on the towers you plan on grinding next like ToFaCT and ToAAA! ToFaCT took me a long time to beat, even though my hardest was ToHH at the time, but I think with the determination you had on ToIF, that you can pull through and beat ToFaCT. Also I'm the person at 0:48 who said that I was beating ToES as my 100th tower. I did in fact actually do that, which I think happened February 18, 2021, so about 11 days later. Another thing is that I did also jump to soul-crushing, but it was to ToDC instead of ToIF. I completed that a few months later on May 31, 2021. Then a few weeks later I did ToDT, 10 months later I beat TT and so on with other towers (ToIF being in November 2022). My current hardest tower is ToI and I'm currently trying to beat ToUA. Surprisingly, I also jumped from ToN to ToES as well along with ToTS as a first remorseless. Probably just a coincidence, but I guess I'll have to see how you progress among new hardests and what not to see if it really is or not. (Edit: Wow I just realized that 3 years is a tiny, but huge amount of time and that even if you think a lot has happened, even more has happened than realized. Same thing goes with thinking not a lot happened, a lot happened)
GG on ToI! It seems like you've really made a lot of progress since that moment in the video, and beating those terrifying towers must have taken a lot of dedication
Thank You! It doesn't feel like I made that much progress. Beating terrifying towers do take a lot of dedication, effort, etc, but surprisingly it is kind of the same as when I was grinding easier towers that were towards the limit of my skill when I had less skill. The only difference really is that terrifying towers can take a little bit longer compared to an insane when my skill was insane or even extreme when extreme.

(On an aside, I thought u might find these truss tips helpful!:
- when truss bouncing the way your character faces control what direction you jump off in (directly backwards)
- you can check whether you’ll be able to jump off by going into first person and checking the side of the cursor is inside the truss!
- for long distance ladder flicks, you can do them like a 13 stud jump (except you have to jump sideways, and make sure you turn to the side you want to jump to!)

I took over 2 months and probably well over 100 hours to beat ToTS. It was a really big mental barrier for me so I really relate to this. The most important thing I think you should know is that you're still absolutely capable of improving as a player. After spending so much time on my first remorseless improving as a player felt like a foreign concept but that ability to climb to the heights that you've already reached is still in you and you should not let this bad experience deter you. You're still capable of improving and having good experiences with Towers. The best has yet to come.
honestly, i understand this so much. my first sc was todc, and i started grinding as soon as it came out and beat it on 7/02/24. was a really fun but annoying grind, but glad i did it.
it took me a really long time to beat my first sc too (todc) from my tots victory on 5/30/21 with coil since i failed the last jump twice, it took me 2 yrs to get a legit tots victory but from the original victory, it took until 4/23/2023 to beat my first sc so it took me like 2 years. not only grinding dc, but juggling a few scs around before i pinpointed todc as an sc and the actual grind took 3 days after i beat tomt which gave me skill boost

This honestly made me realize how lucky i was to fluke todt f8A to the winpad. Anyways congrats on the first soul crushing! This is an achievement not many players really get due to it only being optional. I really hope you can get farther since me and a few others like the documentations of sc towers being beaten, i hope you can beat other soul crushings and maybe even make it to extreme. I was going to beat this as a first sc and a jump from intense. My intentions on beating were really just to unlock ring 9. I got to the end of f7 but ended up dropping the tower after realizing a year later that you can’t unlock a GI area with a SS completion. Still look forward to beating ToIF though and GGs to you for staying motivated!

Despite the fact that this was above your skill level and that you kept having horrible fails, you still kept going and eventually won. That's actually insane and you deserve to be put in a hall of fame for this WOW

wow sc is a crazy moment, i am struggling because i can’t even beat tower of killjoys probably because i barely have any practice, but great job!
Ngl games like difficulty chart obbies and stage per difficulty chart obbies helped me a lot. I started jtoh after a while of doing them and easily beat ToTH. Tiered obbies will also help but I don’t rlly know.
Because vr=w, and w is constant in this case, the slowest part of the truss is at a position where r is the smallest. If you were to draw a vector from the axis of rotation (which runs parallel to the frame) to the first collidable object, that vector would have a magnitude of r, and this is the safest spot to grab onto the truss.
GG! I also beat ToIF for my first sc, and it was definitely an experience lol. I had probably 30 f7 and f8 fails. While it didnt take me 3:years, it took me about 30 hours over 3 weeks which is still kinda long. You should keep trying to beat harder and harder towers, cause in my opinion, your first sc is going to almost always be your hardest and longest grind. I beat ToIF only 3 months ago, and I recently beat ToFM. If you persevere like you did on ToIF, who knows what towers you can beat. You already did the hardest part, and I respect you alot for that since most people will give up after a rem or two. Huge ggs and nice vid.

I originally started toif as a jump from tosp (then I beat tohf). it took me 2 years, I know how it feels. and GG after 3 years.
My first sc was also ToIF, and i did it right after ToTS, took me like 2 years or so (i didn't play that much)

This video (somehow) gave me motivation to beat ToIF (my pb was 5) so I somehow fluked the 2nd half (but then I started to loopfail for a while). Also I think I think it took me like ~1 weeks to beat (also I recorded some gp on my channel) considering that my hardest was ToCA (even though I say that ToCA has like ~high rem gp it’s only insane cuz of punishment). But nevertheless, GG in your accomplishment! I hope you can beat another soul-crushing soon! (but you could try to beat more rems first ofc)

Days of grinding at the time my hardest was ToTS and I had and still have Only That Rem, I Beat ToDT yesterday In 2 hours grinding with absolutely no practice.

the reason why you we're failing those ladder flick on 9 was because you're trying to press shift and space at the same time. But you need to make sure you press shift first THEN press space

I beaten Tower of High Adrenaline last week as my first sc tower, and I started with JToH in April 2023, until now I have 34 rem towers, I feel really bad that ToIF took you 3 years 😢

I beat toaaa in 2 days… dont worry, i didn’t fluke, i failed final floor twice (inside the floor) due to disconnection and lag twice. And failed on the top dice, (3 fails) total.
i watched the entire thing. start to finish. pretty excited to see ToFaCT eventually..

Cool video! One question i have is did this take you 3 years of grinding or did you keep on quiting on and off incase you where playing on and off i recommend putting your total playtime in the description
Example: i have been grinding ToGF on and off for 2 years and my playtime is around 35 hours which obbiously isnt quite the same as grinding togf for 2 years

Thank you! To be honest I don't really mind the negative comments lol. I think next I'm going to beat some mid and high remorseless towers to sort of bridge the gap in difficulty, and then I'll either go for ToFaCT as my new hardest or try some low insanes like TT and ToDC
