As a side note, I use an Irish grind on my gouges, but I've watched you do it with a traditional grind so many times I picked up a 1/2". So, now I have to learn (and practice) with that. Good luck with the new gouge and grind. It took me a while, but I now find it easier to reach the bottom of a bowl.
