It's funny that the CIA has been 'compromised' how many times now? This cold/black ops Call of Duty series has great villains like Perseus, Dragovich, etc., along with some plot twists. And yet, the U.S. was finally beaten by a random Latino cartel from Nicaragua called Raul Menendez.
raul menendez was not just any random cartel, his family was already a powerful cartel prior to black ops 2 and by this point in black ops 6, most definitely menendez already has spies and moles within the cia, as back in old wounds, kravchenko mentioned it and the dossier you get in time and fate what makes menendez’s victory possible is he took it slow, he gradually built up a massive following (by using cordis die through social media) and kept himself hidden until he had the perfect opportunity to strike: the second cold war
i don't really mind length as long as it's a dense and replayable experience (i mean look at luigi's mansion for example, it's a tradition for a lot of people to replay that and it's only like 3.5 hours)
Realistically i believe its to include everyone that wants to play. Lore wise i do not know. Although i believe both voiced original characters and no voice are good if written properly :)
Cold wars break on through mission through a sidepath, nightmares mode in bo3. I kinda expected it the moment the cutscene mentioned it being abandoned and a biohazard. And then the gas masks and separation, i knew it would turn into pyschological/hallucinations type horror.... For 1 minute and then you are just shooty shooty bang bang again. Thought it would be like the one bo1 mission or other ones where you just have a knife or crowbar to defend yourself the whole way. I do appreciate at least the arenas and setups.
After I saw all the campaign, what I can tell is: The gameplay is good, it's refreshing, more refined than MW3, clearly that the Call of Duty is evolved for the better. But the story is a little bit dissapointing. I thought something like this for the plot: After the event of the COD Cold War, Soviet loyalist realize that their country is destined to fall beyond saving so they try to preserve their ideals to somewhere else. And they found it: United States. Through KGB history, they manage to identify CIA agents that starting to question their morality, offering them something that they can't refuse, and for the course of 10 years, those moles slowly controlling CIA. They want to plant their ideals in the US through CIA, but their activities slowly being sniffed by Russel Adler at some point, so they try to frame him as Menendez's moles to wipe him out after Operation Just Cause in 1989. Adler manages to flee, so CIA created Pantheon, paramilitary group that solely designed for hunting down the rogue agents. Soviet having a smooth sails on their plan, but they hit a barrier, in order for them to have a direct influence on US Government, they need to take over the Director of the CIA, which at the time is on the hand of Daniel Livingstone. So, using the Craddle, they try to orchestrate a false flag operation and blame it to the Livingstone, so the government will replace him and the Soviet will offer their own candidate, Jane Harrow. Adler sniff the plan, and try to contact Woods and his team and warned him that the CIA has been compromised, leading to the start of the story of the game. I think, that is better.
I admit bo2 and bo1 were the GOAT but this campaign isnt even that bad. Its like a 7/10 not a 9 or 10 like bo2/bo1 but still decent idk why some not all but some people are shitting on this because their minds are comparing an amazing game like bo1/bo2 and they close their minds and dont care what cod comes out because they say its not the og cod give it a chance man

sweet story , great follow up of old black ops saga , but i guess it was short because of just only 1 year development , even in gameplay there was serious performance issues in consoles , overall 8/10 , but at least im happy to say call of duty did a comeback with this series of black ops , well done
