Question: I love this as a lesson idea. I did one of my own to practice before creating a lesson for students. When I go to save/download as an image, only the original photos show, none of the polyline shapes created. What do you think I'm doing wrong?
I'm assuming you've already tried File > Download. Both the JPEG and PNG options should work, but I would try both. The only other reason this may be happening is if you created your vector drawing outside of the blank canvas. The Download option only saves what's shown on the canvas, so maybe your drawing needs to be moved into position over the canvas before you download.

I did this in my school for art last year and I continue making vector portraits.
